Delivery Service has changed a bit

First the name thebakery......I live and work in a circa 1927 building that was a working bakery until the 80's.  It is a wonderful old 2 story brick building with lots of character and tons on quirky features.  Its a fixup project that I am afraid will never be completed. 

If you are in the Black Hills for the Round up during the 4th of July or the Sturgis Rally during August or your just visiting the Center of the Nation monument which is just a couple blocks away please stop and smell the fabrics. 

We are located in Downtown Belle Fourche and open 9-3 M-F and 9-1 on Saturdays.  Along with the over 1000 bolts of fabrics we also try to represent the best of the local artisans and crafters.  We carry Storypeople and Curly Girl Design Cards,  vintage and newly created jewelry, upcycled creations and retro accessories. 

Hmmmm smells like fabric is what one customer said when she stopped in....

A little about me...hmmmm  I was one of those lucky people who got to travel alot as a kid so I have lots of esthetic influences.  I studied fashion, design and garment construction in Seattle and Paris.  I had my first small business in Seattle altering evening and special occasion dresses and doing some custom design.  After 4 years I was ready for a change and moved to SD.  were I landed in this old Tri State Bakery.  This wonderful old buiding offered lots of room and so my mom and I started the espresso shop/ antique store.  Then along came my darling husband and then the children.  It was time to bring out the sewing machines again so I could have more time to be with my little monsters.    So now I design, sew and search for fabulous fabrics when they give me a minute.  I have a growing collection of fabrics which I love to share with all of you.  I still love to get and will always strive to give the best in customer service.  If I have missed something rest assured I will do my best to make it right.  

  I always have a google of ideas rolling around in my head and unfortunatly only an itibit of time so.....I am always a bit behind on the mountain of sewing projects.  I do my best to keep up with requests but I am afraid some of them get lost in my mountain......so please feel free to send me a reminder.   I truly love what I do and tend to take on a little more than I should....
