After staying home to raise 3 wonderful children, I went back to work to pursue the teaching career that I'd left behind 15 years prior. After about 10 years of teaching, I decided to leave teaching to "go shopping."
I've always been a bargain hunter but one can only wear so many pairs of shoes, carry so many designer handbags and collect so many Hummel figurines. But I kept finding bargains that were too good to leave behind at the store.
The impetus that started my online selling was a Columbia ski jacket that I'd found that I "had to have." But with a perfectly good jacket in the closet, it was hard to justify a new one. I decided to sell the old jacket on-line and after having worn it for 3 years, I sold for $40 more than I'd paid for it new! And thus, a monster was born.
Since that fateful sale in November, 2003, I've spent many hours shopping department stores, outlets, discounters and end-of-season clearance sales for great deals. I find the bargains that allow me to pass the savings on to you, my buyers.
Over the last 5 years, I've spent thousands of hours on various discussion forums and boards helping with authenticity questions and reporting counterfeit goods and scams. I take pride and pleasure in seeing internet sites cleaned up and my dream is that someday, buyers will no longer have to worry about receiving fakes; counterfeit items will be a thing of the past.
Although this isn't realistic, it's wishful thinking. In the meantime, I am happy to respond to questions about authenticity on Coach and Dooney and Bourke items. If I don't know the answer, I will try to find someone who does or I'll refer you to another forum in which to post your questions.
