Welcome to my eBay information page. The eBay ID TheCoilCorner and CoilCorner.Com are the labors of John Cropper, a stamp/coin collector since 1974, PNC collector since 1981, and a PNC (Plate Number Coil) dealer starting in 1999. In 2002, I added US collectible coins and Bullion coins and in 2003, I began creating First Day Covers under the C-Cubed brand. TheCoilCorner has been listing on eBay since Thursday, May 27, 1999 , but I have been active with eBay since it was East Bay Auction Web in 1995.
HOW IT ALL HAPPENED:
Invariably, when one collects objects of any kind, duplication tends to occur. Nobody seems to know why, it just does! By the middle of 1999, I decided to put my accumulation to some use that would be of benefit to other collectors (as well as myself). Coupled with my decade-plus experience in the field of technology, CoilCorner.Com was born. As the first online eCommerce site exclusively dedicated to modern coil issues from 1930 forward, I hope to help further the push of philately into the realm of technology. I also nudged the Plate Number Coil Collector's Club (PNC3, I am member #1460) foward by assisting webmaster Ron Maifeld with some design tools and tips. In early 2001, I was named Publications Advisory Committee Chairman for the club itself. I also serve as webmaster for my local stamp and coin clubs (see links below) and am a member of the American Philatelic Society (#198371). Stop by and visit my site by clicking on the link above, or the logo below. Thanks for reading!
NOTICE: DUE TO EBAY'S NUMEROUS PRICE INCREASES AND CHANGES TO THEIR FEEDBACK POLICY, I WILL NO LONGER BE LISTING ANYTHING WITH THEIR SITE. AS A MEMBER SINCE THE BEGINNING (see above) I FEEL THAT EBAY HAS LOST TOUCH WITH ITS CUSTOMERS AND AS A RESULT, FEELS THAT IT'S NO LONGER NECESSARY TO LISTEN TO THEIR CONCERNS WHEN FORMULATING OR MODIFYING ITS POLICIES. OTHER COMPANIES I NO LONGER DO BUSINESS WITH DUE TO CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES INCLUDE SEARS, MONTGOMERY WARDS AND PATHMARK, SO EBAY IS IN GOOD COMPANY.
I supply United States Stamps, Coins, First Day Covers,
as well as web services for philatelic and numismatic organizations.
As of August 2004, I have over 1700 positive feedback (over 550 unique), zero negatives and two neutral (one payment dispute and one posted on behalf of a deceased former customer). Having experienced very BAD customer service, I strive to treat my customers with respect and understanding.
