The Artist, Kim Jelley 2009
|
Kim Jelley has been a multi media artist all her life. She has worked with charcoal, sculpture and miniature doll jewelry.
In 2000 to 2005, Kim's work was featured in numerous doll publications, including Doll reader, Dolls, Contemporary Dolls, Doll Crafter, as well as calendars and books. In 2000, she was awarded 1st place in the Prosculpt professional art doll contest. Kim's exquisite sculptures have been featured in fine art doll galleries and lovingly collected throughout the world.

Hand painted heart charms
|
In 2005, inspired by the lovely rose paintings of the 40's guilloche enamel heart charms, Kim began painting and enameling heart charms of her own. Soon thereafter, she launched her eBay store and website, The Painted Heart. Her detailed miniature designs soon evolved beyond guilloche inspired rose paintings and featured tiny hummingbirds, blue birds, robins, angels, bunnies and pet portraits.
Since that time, there have been many 'copycat crafters' painting heart charms in similar themes. Often imitated but never duplicated, however, this innovative, trend setting artist continues to evolve toward exciting new ways to express her creativity.
In addition to her hand painted enamel heart charms, Kim is currently painting beautiful porcelain hearts and incorporating these into her Victorian themed charms and charm bracelets.
