How did you get into the antique business anyway? In 1975 I returned to the United States after 5 years living overseas. To restock our new home, my wife and I went to many garage sales. At one of them I found a stack of women's magazines from the 60's. Since I was in the advertising business at the time, I found them fascinating. Within six months I had a decent collection and a lot of duplicates acquired from everywhere including the city dump(a great source before ebay). Next stop, the local flea market to sell something so I could buy more and Attic-To-You Antiques was born.

How come you like View-Masters? I must admit this is my current passion. I had a collection as a youngsters, but when my parents cleaned out their attic while I was overseas, out they went. Fast forward to 2002 when I found a collection of over 100 blue ring reels plus a Model A viewer and S1 projector at an estate sale. I bought them with the intention of selling the lot, but could not bring myself to do it. Now here I am with shoe boxes full of reels I have bought on ebay and elsewhere and enjoying every minute of it. Most important to you, though, I am a better seller because, as a collector, I know how much my customers care about what they buy from me and what they want from a seller beyond the physical merchandise.
