I am collecting, photodocumenting and cataloging pre-1900 dog licenses.I am also buying collections & single tags that I do not have in my collection. I pay VERY FAIR prices to all sellers and metal detector enthusiasts who are kind enough to share their tags with me for permanent reference.
If you care to have your domestic or foreign dog tax, license, registry metal tags documented please send me a 300 dpi scanned image or color xerox of both sides. I am able to acquire about 10-15 pre 1900 tags per year through sources other than eBay and metal detectorists are the ones who matter the most for this unique hobby. Many hours of location research/hunting/digging take place to find these special dog tags.
Other tags that I am interested in are pre 1921 tags, numeral tags and those that are on collars (especially from TEXAS) or anywhere in the world for that matter... SpAy and NeUtEr Your pets Please
SpAy and NeUtEr Your pets Please! America and most countries are suffering mass overpopulation of unwanted cats, rabbits and dogs: 1) due to intact, fertile animals and 2) irresponsible pet guardians who carelessly dispose of their unwanted domesticated animals. This problem is preventable--SPAY AND NEUTER BY 6 MONTHS OF AGE. I served 2 terms on the Board of the Washington Area Humane Society in Washington County, Pa. I write articles for magazines, token clubs, metal detecting clubs, humane society newsletters and so on.
I adopted a precious PitBull/Staffordshire puppy named Scarlet and she is so obedient and intelligent. I am TRYING to educate others on the breed and of overall pet responsibility. Change takes place very slowly.
My sweet dog BILL BONE was adopted at a Humane Society in Western Pa. He was neutered and was blind, but that doesn't stop him from seeking me out in my household. He longs to be around me. He sleeps next to me at night and even though he is totally blind, he seems protective of me and jealous when my other dogs get my attention. Below is a photo and an artists air brush painting of him.........
