We've been an active member with Ebay since the Spring of 1998 and have found it a wonderful community to sell off parts of our various collections. We started out selling British Royal Commemoratives, Antiques, Collectibles, and Books all those years ago.As we've become the custodians of a varying range of items over the years you never can tell what you'll find in our auction listings & shop stock...hence our user name TheRoyalSteamerTrunk.
As trends & markets change so does our stock. In recent years we've begun carrying designer goods of all forms, as-well-as, costmetic, skin care, bath/body products, & perfumes.
To help move things out we're listing items for less then we paid & less then they are worth, so our loss is your gain!!!
We almost always use USPS Priority Mail service to send both domestic & international packages as we can purchase that postage online with the USPS website & arrange for our regular USPS carrier to pick-up your items when he delivers the mail Monday thru Friday, which means fewer people are handling your packages.
We charge for packing because we actually go through the time & expense to properly package your items to insure they arrive to you in safe & proper condition. The packing expense generally starts @ $1.20 (for a $6.00 shipping fee) and goes up based on the amount of packing materials needed to safely package your items. Also included in the packing costs is the ink & paper to print your postage & labels, as-well-as the tape to seal your parcels (and you'll notice we use a whole lot of tape on each package you receive). We charge for packing after the sale so that Ebay can't charge us Final Auction Value Fees on those funds.
All insured goods are packed to USPS specs so that the USPS will pay-off on any claims made in case of loss or damage as the USPS will refuse claims if insured goods are not packaged with @ least 2 inches of packing materials around them.
International buyers should note that the $1.15 Proof of Posting fee does not show up on the USPS rates paid as postal stamps must be affixed to the form and hand cancelled w/the date by a USPS postal employee!
