Some Samples of My Work

Welcome To My eBay "About Me" Information Page

Hello, my name is Terry A. Ristenbatt, although most people refer to me as
"The Sand Master".
I have been sandblasting artistic designs into glass & mirror items for over 30 years.

Although I work on just about any type of glass imaginable,
the items I sell on eBay are mainly smaller mirrors and electric light boxes.
Whether you need one piece, or hundreds,
I would be more than happy to quote you a price.
I do large quantity glassware orders for mugs, flutes, etc.

If you are involved with a craft or woodworking project and need a custom piece of etched glass
or mirror to
finish it off, I can work closely with you to get the desired results you are looking for.
If you supply the "camera ready" artwork I can use your design or company logo.

I look forward to hearing from you.  Terry A. Ristenbatt

Etched Glass
A craft whose roots reach back more than three centuries,
glass etching is now enjoying great popularity among people who
value the marvelous frosted effects that can be produced on glass through sandblasting .
The appeal of glass etching has created an ever growing market which seems to
have no boundaries.  If the item can be imagined, it can be created.

Glass was probably first etched towards the end of the 17th century
when a Bavarian master craftsman named Henry Schwanhart used
hydrofluoric acid to decorate window panes.
In 1870 a new method of etching was introduced that utilized the
abrasive action of a stream of sand being shot at the glass surface by air pressure.
This is what is known as sandblasting.
