The Silvergardens Studios
~Thanks and welcome~ Some may have wondered where I've been the past few months. I found that I greatly missed painting so I am picking up the paintbrush once again and will be creating more wonderful pieces for all of my awesome collectors! :o)
**I also have a blog that I will be (trying to) keep you up to date on what's new and coming up as well as any news about myself I may have. Please check it out. The link is below.** I also have an art shop on Etsy.com as well as eBay under the same user name "thesilvergardens". *I am now offering prints and more to come* Thanks! Hi, I just wanted to start off by thanking all the wonderful people who have made it possible for me to become part of this great eBay community. Being my friends, family, and most of all, every bidder. Thank you! It feels good when there is an interest in something I have created and makes me want to keep painting. *And a very special "THANK YOU" to our Lord Jesus who made my talent possible.*
~About the Artist~
I have had a passion for art since I was a little girl. Being that I a am the fifth generation professional artist in my family makes that passion even stronger. I am a totally self taught artist and a firm Christian believer. I love all forms of art from painting, drawing, crafting, building, GARDENING, and even a little blacksmithing (which I tried once at my father's side). Both my parents are professional artists too. My father is a full time blacksmith (see web link below) and my mother does everything from carving, painting, designing, bronze sculpture, and so much more (the t-shirts on the Olde World Renaissance Faire website are designed and drawn by her), plus she is now a seller of artwork herself here on eBay under de_la_renaissance as well as Etsy. So there was no escape for me anyway.
Being that I have a great love for both art and antiques it seemed only fitting to try painting on rundown antiques in antique styles and colours. I was a little rough around the edges at first but now things are going much smoother for me. Plus, I am having the time of my life doing what I love and creating treasures for others to enjoy. My favorite styles are that of the old European designs which is anywhere from the Castle Ages all the way up through Victorian Thymes and a bit of whimsy too. I am also creating the fun to collect ACEOs... which are little art cards the size of a baseball card, a growing sensation. I also enjoy some things from the Renaissance Era and I finally bought my own Renaissance gown so now I can take part in the festivals too. One of which my family and I will be putting on one here in the Northland every year (see web link below). I have to say my artistic mind is stuck in the days of old and no where near modern times. But it's just more fun that way. Thank you for stopping by!! God Bless! Jesus loves YOU and died for YOU!! Yes, YOU!
P.S. In case some of you were wondering, I use my maiden name "Widen" when I sign my artwork. I've used that name before I was married (of course) and being it is shorter than my married name, I figured I would continue to use it. It is pronounced "Wideen" with a short "i" sound like kitten and a long "e" sound like seen.
