my favourtite sport skiing! I 've been skiing since I was 3 and take part in races throughout Scotland. Last year I took part in a ski trip to America. Trust me, the snow is so much better than Europe's!!! In Europe, the snow goes sticky and slushy in the afternoon, but in America it stays powdery/icy all day!!! If you ever get the chance to go skiing in America, I would take the opportunity!!! I also enjoy the freestyle side of skiing as well as racing. Freestyle tends to involve a lot more stunts etc. In skiing there are two main types of races- slalom, and giant slalom. Slalom racing is basically going round a course as fast as you can, the gates (poles) are much smaller than giant slalom. As the name gives away, Giant slalom is basically just slalom made bigger with a bigger gap between the gates.

If you ever get the opportunity to learn how to ski, I would take it. Just don't start snowboarding whatever you do!!!
