Hi.  Thank you for expressing interest in my eBay listings!  I love to work with wood,  especially with pieces that have unique character like cherry, hickory and hard maple.  

What separates me from the average woodworker is that, in addition to lots of experience working with wood, I have an art background.... drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery, graphic arts and quilting so I tend to spend more time inspecting the wood for unique character than the average woodworker.

Lots of time and energy goes into selection of each piece.  I pay careful attention to the way the grain runs in each piece of wood when I glue pieces together. 

My goal is to produce functional quality works of art that make great conversation pieces and accent to your kitchen and dining areas (where everybody tends to gather these days) or to serve as gifts for those searching for something that is handmade, durable, practical, and naturally beautiful.

Each board would make an excellent  wedding, anniversary, Christmas birthday or house warming gift. 

Some of my works are thinner for those looking to put the board on display as a center piece on a dining room table or to use as an artwork to put on display on a kitchen or dining area wall.   Others are thicker for the serious chef.  

REVERSIBLE BOARDS:

Each board is reversible.  I intentionally leave feet off the bottom of each board so you can use one side for cutting and the unblemished side to serve food to your guests.  

Some recommend feet be placed on the bottom of boards to increase the air flow around the board to prevent warping.   If you would like feet placed on your board I have them available. Most are rubber and the stick on type (easily removed and placed on the opposite side of the board when you are ready).  If you really want to put in the screw type, I am willing to do that too. It limits the functionality of the board, but is an option.  Lowes and Home Depot have a huge selection of feet  if you want decide to add your own later.

Do I make custom made boards?  Yes.  Mother nature dictates 95% of the character! If you see a board you like, I will try, but it is generally impossible for me to reproduce it. As I sort thru my stock, I carefully set aside the unique pieces of wood, and when I have collected enough of them, I begin to carefully arrange them in an attempt to find a pleasing design. 

I use high quality hardwoods including maple, cherry, walnut, mahogany, hickory, and occasionally some more exotic wood.

I maintain an extensive inventory so if you want me to email pictures of my latest works,  before each juried art show  I take the time to photograph, catalog and number each board.

BEESWAX & MINERAL OIL CONDITIONER  (Food Safe Beeswax & Mineral Oil Wood Block Wax Polish)

In addition to boards and trays,  I sell  a mineral oil/beeswax conditioner.  My father is a beekeeper (a retired Biology Professor).  My folks have built a honey house on their small hobby farm in rural Ann Arbor where for as long as I can remember they have extracted honey and pure new beeswax.  They have always been resourceful, tapping their maple trees and for many years they made their own handmade soap.

Beeswax/Mineral Oil Conditioner Pricing :My wax is priced at a fraction of what the specialty stores charge.  I challenge you to do a google search and compare. You should find (as I have) that most are charging three to ten times what I do for similar products.   If you really want mineral oil for example... there are people on eBay selling an 8 oz bottle for 10 times the wholesale price.  I include a free 16 oz bottle of food grade mineral oil with the purchase of 3 cans of  my wax. What's more my pricing is a fraction of what the others  are charging.

Working full time making boards is pure joy because the freedom of self-employment lets me work at home and be there for my children.
