Sample Kings Adventures in Recording
Back in the 80's I had just started as an intern at a small studio in Queens, New York call 12/12 my first session was with a group called Ultra Magnetic it was engineered by the late Paul C he was a great rap engineer, that was the day I saw my first SP12, he would sample sounds and flip them around in the mix using smpte, (time code) I was amazed, I learned a lot that day. So I did some thing real stupid I quit my job and decide to intern everyday at 3 studio's I would ask questions, read every book and work with the best engineers I could. Then one day I got a call from a studio manager who wanted me to run this session because the engineer couldn't make it. The session went so good the artist asked my back I knew then I was ready. I brought an SP1200 and played with it everyday I got so good I could sample and loop anything in 5 minutes.

Word spread and I started my own small studio called Little Rascals and worked in other big ones as well. I've work with many artist like SWV, A Tribe Called Quest, ONYX, GURU, Melisa Morgan, Melba Moore, just to name a few. Over the years I learned to work a lot of analog gear as well as digital from 2 inch Tape to ProTools. I love music all kinds of music from Rock to Rap to Miles to Mozart. To me recording is so much fun I even go to Tokyo, Japan and see and work the latest gear every year. That's why I started Sample KIngs a lot of my friends and clients would always ask me questions about the recording process and I wouldn't shut up once I got started. I love recording I have the best job in the world. So we make instructional DVD's, Sample CD's, and design Samples that you can get right here in Ebay and at our website SAMPLEKINGS.COM. Our samples are used all over the world and we can work any thing from software to hardware if you get a chance check us out. I stand behind every product we make. They call me DOC.
