What you might want to know about me

I'm a big sci-fi/fantasy fan. I have several boxes in my collection of SciFi/Fantasy books, magazines, trading cards, and other collectibles. I'm a non-smoker - if something I'm selling came from someone who does smoke I'll note it in the description. I have three cats who LOVE to explore the boxes/mailers I use to send things out despite my trying to shoo them away.

I've been going through my collections and have weeded out many things I no longer am interested in keeping (I need the storage space for things I am keeping). Most of what I list (books, magazines, cards, etc.) come directly from my personal collection. Some may be doubles I bought "just in case", items bought for friends who decided they were no longer interested, something I got in a trade, or something the owner of the local comic shop talked me into buying (he's a persuasive fellow).

I also like Disney memorabilia (especially pins!) & collecting stuffed animals (like Beanie Babies & Island of Misfit Toys).

My policies

I do my best to email an invoice via ebay within 12-48 hours after my auctions close. If you haven't heard from me in 72 hours after the close of auction, please email me directly. I try to indicate on the auction itself if I'm out of town & unable to respond to email in a timely manner.
Typically I can only ship on midweek & Saturday, though I do my best to ship within 48 hours after I receive payment.
I combine shipping whenever possible! I only use the US Postal Service for shipping - Priority Mail for magazines (magazines can't be shipped via media mail because they have ads), First Class for cards, and First Class International (AirMail) for overseas items. If you need something shipped via UPS or FedEx it WILL take more time to get a) a price and b) ship out.

Bidders should respond within 3 days (72 hours) of notification of your winning bid - note this is NOT 3 business days. Payment is expected for US bidders within 7 days of notification of the end of auction & within 10 days for International bidders unless prior arrangements are made.

I'm always willing to wait a few days until my other auctions have closed in order to ship 2 or more items together. Just ask me if you're bidding on live auctions so I know you're waiting on a particular item to end.

Do not bid on my auctions if:

1) You (the bidder) are out of town or out of the office and can't reply to email - notify me first so I'm aware of the situation.
2) You (the bidder) are using someone else's account. I won't ship to an address not associated with your paypal account.

Email me with questions, but give me at least a few hours to reply - I'm not always online.
If I'm notified of anything out of the ordinary, I'm more willing to 'bend' my rules, just ask.

How I classify what I list

Cards

Most of the cards I sell are pulled from packs. If I see any dents, chips, scratches, etc. I will note it in the description. I don't believe any card is truly mint (i.e. perfect) so most of what I list is described as near mint/mint.

I do my best to have accurate digital photos of any cards listed - autographs, costume/pieceworks cards, and sketch cards. If I've listed in the description "the card shown is the card you will receive", then that's what you will get.

Magazines

I do not smoke though occasionally the magazines are/were bought from a store where someone did smoke near it or have a slight smell (typical with older magazines). If I notice it I WILL note it in the description.

Mint - I rarely see magazines on the shelf truly in mint condition, so I will not use this classification.

Excellent - no flaws to minor flaws - typically flaws are minor indentations on the spine from sitting on the shelf of a store or minor tears on the covers. I do list any minor damage I see in the description and I'm pretty brutal in listing flaws - the majority of buyers find the magazines in better than stated condition.
There could also be fingerprints on the cover if it's a glossy-type cover (I won't mention these in the description unless there is a permanent mark because they can be wiped off).

Good - several minor flaws or major flaws - noticeable indentations on the spine or noticeable tears on the cover or marks on the cover.

Fair & Poor - I don't buy this type of magazine, nor will I sell anything I wouldn't buy myself.

Something I'd classify as "Good" typically would have been bought only if it had been the last one or only one and I felt (at the time) I HAD to have it.
