Welcome to our auction site, tidbit-57. We sell Mitford items, Hallmark Ornaments, and Garage Sale/Estate finds. We began selling in January of 2001 after purchasing several ornaments from eBay. The idea of our name was to sell a little of this and a little of that, hence, tidbit. Our goal was to get as many different varieties of items to sell hence the 57. We started off with some things that we knew most about....the Mitford series and also Hallmark ornaments. We have collected the angel Hallmark ornaments over the years, so shopping after Christmas has been one of our hobbies. We just "fell" into the Mitford items when our local Hallmark store put all of their items on sell. Then the store eventually sold out. This has become a hobby for us. I've retired from teaching and my husband, Chuck, farms. We were always looking for something to do together that would combine our talents and that we both enjoyed. Along came eBay. We will be listing our Mitford items every Sunday night through the Snowy Season. Our greatest thrill this year was meeting Jan Karon, author of the Mitford series, in person. She is as delightful to meet, as any of her characters in her books. She enjoyed our display of Mitford items that we had in a store front window. She agreed that they will be quite collectibles in the future. It has been our Joy to visit with you on our ME page.
