Hi! My name is Shawn Gearhart and I offer the TimeForMemories auctions. I have been selling on eBay for almost ten years now, specializing in selling vintage children's books, but also selling vintage toys and many other books and collectibles.
I have always used the money from selling on eBay for extra money, but at the beginning of 2008, I was inspired by the TV show "Oprah's Big Give." I've always loved to give, but have also always wished I had more to give. Then I thought about all of the treasures I have to sell on eBay and how much that income could help others. So I am now taking 100% of the profits from all of my auction items that are labeled "AuctionGiver" and giving them to local charities and/or people in need.
I have also created a website at AuctionGiver.com where I will post updates about the money coming in. The site will also feature the stories about where the money is given and what eBay usernames contributed to each "give."
So please visit the AuctionGiver.com site and keep an eye on my auctions to watch for items that you can bid on to help make the world a better place! All of the items start at $4.99 and have no reserve!
