About the Artist

"Tina Kewy was born in January 1978 in Athens, Greece and comes from an artistic family. While growing up in a house full of crayons, clay, paper and two very crafty parents, she was encouraged to try everything arty, create, experiment and express herself in any way possible.
Tina's first love was drawing but soon sculpting and clay won her over! She started sculpting seriously when she was 7 years old and hasn't stopped since. She has been devoted to doing babies since 1999."

About the babies

Each baby is 100% hand sculpted from polymer clay and a unique piece of art that will never be duplicated ever again. Tina sculpts with much care to realism and detail and she never stops looking for fresh ideas, new models and new horizons to expand. Her newborns and fairy babies are most popular but she would love to sculpt older children and other fantasy creatures!
She usually works 12 hours a day, sometimes even when watching TV!!
She used to take custom orders but her waiting list got so long, she decided against it. eBay is now the only place where you can adopt one of her creations! Tina loves to sculpt all sizes and even her 3" babies have the realism and detail her life size babies do!

About Shipping

There are two ways to ship from Greece that are the most affordable and safe:
Express Mail and Registered Mail.

Express Mail is pricey; the tariff starts at about 30 Euros even for an envelope and then it increases by the pound. Its about $9 to a pound. I only recommend this option for life size or large dolls since Registered Mail has a limit of 4lbs parcels.
So for a doll package of about 8lbs the price is approximately 70 Euros.
The great advantage of this method is that it can be tracked online and its really fast and reliable. Delivery is made usually within 5 working days and on busy periods they work weekends too.

Registered mail has a weight limit of 4lbs so I use it for small packages and dolls. Its relatively cheap and safe since these smaller packages travel in the letter postal bag instead of in with the big bulky parcels.
It is a signature required service and you can track a missing package but only after 30 days have passed since the shipping date.

Please note that I cannot be held responsible for mail delays or lost packages (although I have only lost something once in 8 years of shipping), or custom duties your country may ask you to pay.
Also note that the UK does not accept Express Mail packages any more and that I have to send the bigger dolls via Regular Air Mail to the UK unless you are willing to pay the SPM mailing costs (not recommended, I heard the price and nearly fainted lol).

I do not overcharge on shipping. The receipt with the shipping price on will be available in case you need to verify the cost. In most cases I pay out of pocket for shipping as it is I who undercharges :)

Layaways

I can do a layaway in many cases if you contact me before you bid with your payment plan. I am easy with payments but please understand that this is my sole income so please try to be consistent with your payments.
If there is an emergency, hey we are human after all, just please let me know so I can do my planning in turn.

However if you miss more than two payments I do reserve the right to sell the item elsewhere. And please note that any money paid towards the item is not refundable.

Insurance

A lot of people are asking me about insurance on high priced items so here is a little info on that.
First of all I have NO problem insuring. Its only a form to be filled so no trouble... however please note that if I do insure I have to state the actual price of the item. If customs see an expensive parcel they will hold it, open it and then charge you.

A couple of times this happened with insured reborns and not only the buyers were charged a lot of money, but also the dolls were just thrown back in the box and not properly packaged.
Plus the one time I needed to collect insurance they found a thousand excuses not to pay... in the end they told me that all they would pay for is the clay to remake the doll.

So what do you do?
First I will mark the item as gift (please note that Registered Mail is considered a letter thus its ok) and put a low value on it.
If it gets damaged, I will repair it at no cost but the shipping will be on you both ways.

If it gets lost (which is rare, only happened once) I will do everything in my power to track it down but I cannot be held responsible. But again I will try to work with you and try to help...

Countries in the EU do not pay customs as the item comes from Greece (i.e. UK, Italy, Germany, France, Belgium, The Netherlands etc)

I know this may put you off buying but although all this sounds intimidating, check my feedback. Lots of happy mommies out there :)

Thank you and happy bidding!!
