Welcome to my ABOUT ME page! I'm here to
tell you all about how I got started selling on ebay and furthered my
adventures to start my own e-commerce store. First of all, let me put a
picture to my name so we can get acquainted on a personal basis:
Here we have pictured: myself, my dear husband of 11 years, and my 2
children. My husband by profession is a n electrical designer, but by
aspiration is a computer technology geek on a journey of his own to
create a service website dedicated to CAD design. I am a pharmacist by
profession, a job which I love and have been enjoying for the past 11
years. Now that you''ve met my entire family, let us proceed.
While on a preterm labor induced sabbatical from my job during my second
pregnancy, I rediscovered the joys of sewing and embroidery and taught
myself the age old art of smocking. For 6 LONG months I was one with my
sofa and my bed on bedrest, allowed only 1 to 2 hours of "vertical" time
per day. To keep my sanity, I began smocking and sewing little outfits
for my then yearling niece and percolating infant. Alas, on August
21,2000, the robust and healthy Emily was introduced to the world, and
as a manner of speaking, things have never been the same since. I had
found a new love times 2- my new baby girl AND a new and soon to be
profitable hobby.
. I have been loving smocking ever since, and in 2005 i opened a webstore, www.tinynay.com, in order to sell my new creations, my smocking plates. I purchased the Smocksoft 3.0 software shortly before this, and since then I have been enjoying creating smocking plates from clipart that I purchase, some i draw, and some are inspired by embroidery designs from Tyme2Stitch.com that I am allowed to use to create plates from. In recent months, I have had a lot of changes in my life, including being out of work for over a year due to a tropical Katrina inflicted hurricane virus that left me with a severe case of fibromyalgia and CFS, not to mention a few other undefined health problems. I found a new love in the process, creating and digitizing embroidery designs on my new Bernina V5 software to match some of the plates that I have. Now I have 2 very fruitful hobbies to keep me happy and busy. I recently opened back up my ebay store due to customer request during the busy season, and will be listing my more popular items in there. I will also be listing my new MACHINE SMOCKING DESIGNS, which are quick, fun, and easy to stitchout.
I hope to see you all at the store as customers soon, and always be on the lookout for my newest designs. I want to bring out the thread artist in everyone, beginner to advanced!!!!
