2. Pinch yourself when you hear a voice inside your head saying: "I can find a place for it".

3. When out for a Saturday drive, let your husband, who will NOT stop at every garage sale, drive. He is a natural Packrat Syndrome deterrent, although the strength potency may vary (sometimes mild, somtimes stonger).

4. Leave your cash at home, do not pass go, do not take $200 in "change" and pretend it's "not really MONEY". That's like saying calories you consume while standing up "don't count".

What To Do If Packrat Syndrome Takes Hold:
1. Pray!

2. Get empty boxes & pack up what you think you can live without. Think again. And again!

3. No, one box is not sufficient, go back to the garage (if you can find it and get there) and bring in REAL boxes (the one the pop tarts came in doesn't count).

3. Sign up to eBay as a seller, buy a faster computer, color printer, flatbed scanner, digital camera, auction software, set aside space (what's that?)for your "office" and start listing your extras. When they are gone, you won't really miss them, you will have made some money (theorectically) and met some wonderfully nice folks who are buying your stuff and packing it into their garages, living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms.....
