Terri Martin's Books and Collectibles
The Treasure,
like the memory of trips to the Blue Ridge Mountain in NC.
And like a song written by Dennis Lambert and Brian Potter.
One Tin Soldier goes like this.
" Listen, children, to a story.
That was written long ago,.
'Bout a kingdom on a mountain.
And the valley-folk below..
.
On the mountain was a treasure.
Buried deep beneath the stone,.
And the valley-people swore.
They'd have it for their very own..
.
Go ahead and hate your neighbor,.
Go ahead and cheat a friend..
Do it in the name of Heaven,.
You can justify it in the end..
There won't be any trumpets blowing.
Come the judgement day,
On the bloody morning after.....
One tin soldier rides away..

So the people of the valley.
Sent a message up the hill,.
Asking for the buried treasure,.
Tons of gold for which they'd kill..

Came an answer from the kingdom,.
"With our brothers we will share.
All the secrets of our mountain,.
All the riches buried there.".
.
Go ahead and hate your neighbor,.
Go ahead and cheat a friend..
Do it in the name of Heaven,.
You can justify it in the end..
There won't be any trumpets blowing.
Come the judgement day,.
On the bloody morning after.....
One tin soldier rides away..
.
Now the valley cried with anger,.
"Mount your horses! Draw your sword!".
And they killed the mountain-people,.
So they won their just reward..
.
Now they stood beside the treasure,.
On the mountain, dark and red..
Turned the stone and looked beneath it....
"Peace on Earth" was all it said..
.
Go ahead and hate your neighbor,.
Go ahead and cheat a friend..
Do it in the name of Heaven,.
You can justify it in the end..
There won't be any trumpets blowing.
Come the judgement day,.
On the bloody morning after.....
One tin soldier rides away..
My two youngest daughters,.

Hi eBay'rs!

I want to thank all of my customers for their patronage. I am enjoying the winter here in Minnesota, contrary to many times when I was growing up it seemed endless. Snow can be a bother, yet I joke about the southern climate and know it is a source of frustration from lack of equipment to quickly get it under control because they don't have much snowfall. My two youngest are enjoying their new sports, ice skating and tubing. They have been super enthusiastic even when temperatures dip into the teens. I have yet to get back on the slopes myself, not that I am disabled, but from a lack of exercise, my limbs are not as willing as I would like them to be.

Although I do enjoy reading, I am also working towards a teaching licensure in business. It will be super busy this next semester with full time student teaching with several more grad courses towards my licensure. It has been great to be part of the school and be able to participate in some of their classroom activities. Now comes the challenge of a daily classroom, other than the substituting that I have experienced in the past. Substituting is usually not a picnic, yet I grew accustomed to the usual tricks and behaviors that are part of the job. A regular class will be challenging, yet enjoyable from a consistency of students and curriculum on a daily basis. I long to share stories from my business experience that spans 20 years. My background includes corporate size companies, both public and private, medium, and small businesses. Even from an entreprenur standpoint of what it takes to get a business off the ground.

There are several new pages to highlight some of the new listings that I have added. I found that this was a good way to give credit to those who had previously owned the collections. There are many more books and records that I need to add and just need to find the time, so keep checking back.

Hope to hear from you,

Terri
