![]() My name is Tery Weiss and I've been listing and buying on ebay since 1999 - which makes me something of an old timer. I have another life, believe it or not, which I'll tell you a bit about below; and at the very end of this opus, I have a few businessy things like my return policy. But first, I'd like you to meet our Customer Service Department: ![]() ![]() ![]() When not listing on ebay, or buying on ebay (I buy about 75% of my cllothes and shoes and books and other tremendously cool things on ebay) I make art dolls, hook rugs, and make very strange clothing out of old clothes, neckties, felted sweaters, tapestries, and whatever else comes past my line of sight. In a former life I was a serious vintage clothing collector. I wrote a book, published in 1987, The Consumer's Guide to Vintage Clothing by Terry McCormick (my then last name}. For about 10 years I published The Vintage Clothing Newsletter, which went all over the world and the U.S. and had about 800 subscribers. I also wrote a column for a magazine and had several articles published, including in Antique Trader. I've moved on to other things, but still have some of my clothes, hats, accessories and about 100 vintage hats left. During my serious writing days, I also collected books on costume, many rare and out of print from England, and innumerable sewing books and vintage sewing patterns. I have sold a lot of these materials over the last 10 years, but there is still plenty to go - so keep tuning in for more treasures! ![]() When push comes to shove, I adore clothes - and shoes and hats and bags and costume jewelry (vintage and modern) - and I am always buying way too much, and then I sell some and then I buy more and then I sell some and then... Hey, it's way more fun than collecting stocks and bonds. I figure I'll be the best dressed lady in the poor house! I also collect old sewing machines, so occasionally you'll see things related to that. The dolls are - starting waaay back, at the top of the page, welcoming you: "Were You speaking to me?" (we have all known cats like this!) - "Genius" which is made with freeform crochet, vintage costume jewelry, beads, tassels, etc (I won the textile award at an art show with my Genius!)- A needle felted head - and some of the funky sock creatures I made using a book called "Stupid Sock Creatures." And a flat doll: "Excess is in the eye of the beholder." ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Refunds: If I make a mistake in my listing, I am happy to refund your money and that includes shipping. However, I am not open to people who suffer bidder's regret. Most everyone on ebay has found him/herself in that particular pickle; and it's a learning experience. If you have any questions, email and ask. I'm currently paying double the postage I should on an auction, because I didn't check the postage before bidding. It's my mistake, I blew it, I'll pay for it and it'll be one heck of a long time before I make that mistake again! This goes both ways. At the same time, I'm a person too, so if you are having a problem paying within the time frame I allow; email and let me know and maybe we can work things out. The last thing to do is not communicate. I really don't read minds, so send an email and answer my emails and it'll be slick as a whistle! when all's said and done, what's important is that we treat each other well - we'll remember that long after we forget what it was we bought or sold. To protect bidder privacy, when the price or highest bid on an item reaches or exceeds a certain level, User IDs will be displayed as anonymous names. For auction items, a bold price means at least one bid has been received. Note: Anonymous names may appear more than once and may represent different bidders.
