Our favorite place on earth is God's “big fish tank” - namely the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Michigan. We needed a touch of that in our Ohio home, so we continued the hobby my husband had since he was a child -- aquariums. The look on our 8-yr. old son's face the first time he saw our black molly give birth was absolutely priceless. Watching him and our daughter "play" with the fish -- trying to get them to follow them from one end of the tank to the other, trying to play hide and seek, feeding them and actually growing to love those fish, made all the time and effort we put into it worthwhile. It became a family hobby; it wasn't work, it was family fun time.   Didn’t stop there.  We added a beautiful yellow parakeet named Tracky and a precious baby blue parakeet named Baby.  We  saw the cutest 6 week old Norwegian Elkhound that my husband just had to have, so we added Moses to our home.  For those of you familiar with Norwegian Elkhounds, you know they get very big.  One Thursday, our son said he wanted a little dog that he could hold in his lap.  My husband said he just happened to get a bonus that day so by Saturday we were the proud owners of a sweet, sweet red miniature Dachshund, which being a Gone With The Wind fan, I named Tara Scarlett.  Somewhere in there we also had a lizard.  Eventually, we were down to just Tara Scarlett and the kids out on their own.  When we lost Tara, we were devastated, so we went on our pet search again.  Now my husband and I have our 5 year old red dachshund, Gracie Ann.  Bless her heart, she isn’t very graceful, but oh my, is she precious.  Well, to wind up this story,  we started Aquarium and Pet Supply House so we could inspire others to bring the same joy that we experienced  into their homes.
