My name is Tonya and I have been an active seller and buyer on eBay for over four years.
When eBay started the new Feedback system whereas only buyers can leave negative and neutrals and sellers cannot leave negative feedback for non-paying bidders and scammers, at first I did not worry about this because I had 100% feedback and prided myself on excellent service and a very lenient return policy. Well I think I was put on a confidential list in cyberspace. Because soon after this implantation by eBay I was contacted by buyers on several different occasions who wanted a discount on an item and was not looking to return an item. Well, the one time I actually put my foot down at this and said,
"If you return the item I will refund your complete auction purchase (shipping and final bid)"
well, since I did not offer a discount that person left me negative feedback and called me rude. He had no intention of mailing it back because he turned around and sold it for $20 more than he bought it from me and he charged twice the shipping cost AND only one picture on HIS auction compared to the eight pictures on my auction and the extreme closeups of the scratches (which he did not even mention on his!). To me he was only trying to cut his acquiring costs.
I print postage from Paypal and I have a tracking number on every piece of parcel I mail out, even first class shipping, so if you are looking to scam me so you can say "you didn't get it" and file a claim with Paypal, you can't because I ship quick and do work within their guidelines. So I guess that is going to tick a scammer off so they resort to just trying to file a chargeback with their credit card company that the item "wasn't as described" well that is why........
I get a buyer who leaves a complete LIE of a feedback. I took so much time to list a lot of software games individually and the fact my children were kinda sad to see them go (because we spent our family time playing them and having fun) and to get a negative feedback is outrageous. I am starting to wonder if she is going to scam me by contacting her credit card company and trying to do a charge back. That is why:
Seller Protection - Eligible If I do not see this on your Paypal page I have every right to cancel the transaction and refund your money. Because if you do not have this means you can scam me and I can be out of money+shipping+item. Sorry.
Also, I do not give out bargains on my auctions. If you see it, like it, read about it, ask questions if you must, but please do not email me and ask for a discount or say it was not "good enough" If you want a refund that is fine. Send it back to me. I will reimburse your initial paypal purchase and you will pay for the shipping back to me, unless I state I will take care of it. I understand we are not all perfect, even me and I can overlook something and may not be precise, not on the account of I am trying to scam you or anyone it is because out of sheer ignorance. I am not an expert on anything, perhaps little people toys from Fisher Price but even then I am not as knowledgeable as most of the the sellers on eBay are.
Contray to some eBay book or manual told you, I do not accept offers or requests to relist an item, if it unsold. I do not cut deals off of eBay and it costs me money to relist item(s).
I am taking a break of selling on eBay for a while. There is no fun and drive to do so when it feels like others can abuse me with no recourse. I hope eBay looks a very strong LOOK at their FEEDBACK policy and bring back being able to leave negative/neutrals for buyers or something.
