The Japanese Difference

The Japanese are world renowned for their Quality, Technology, Innovation, and Craftsmanship. In the golf industry, it is no different. The apprenticeship undertaken by the equipment craftsman is unmatched, and often requires many years before they are able to build golf equipment. The Majority of Golf Equipment enthusiasts have yet to grasp the concept of just how great the pride and attention to detail is undertaken building golf clubs in Japan. 

What many golfers do not know is the equipment they play is being mass produced by the tens of thousands of pieces every month by factory employees often in China or Thailand who are not masters of their trade or even golfers for that matter.  This sort of laborers are used to maximize output, and ultimately lead to more profits for the Major golf companies who do not pass the savings onto their customers with new technologies or better material, but spend it on major player endorsements and advertising.

In Japan, output is much lower, but more care and quality is put into each club built. Prices are higher in Japan due to Technology enhancements that the world will not see till years later. The innovation and design found in Japan is apparent in all major industries from Computers to Automobiles and has been obvious in the golf world for decades. They are the Masters of forged Steel and will always strive for "Kaizen" (continuous improvement).
