We
are a wholesaler and retailer of fashion clothes for women in
the USA. As a small speciality business, we hand pick all items
we sell, and sell only New items. We sell only on the internet
to long-term customers and also in auction formats, brining good
buys for all our customers.
We
understand the challenges of buying clothes online and the importance
of a good fit; therefore, we believe that communication between
buyer and seller both before and after bidding is the key to an
excellent transaction. Thus, we provide our buyers with multiple
pictures of the items, thorough item details and descriptions,
quality individualized measurements on each item, and helpful
guides for buying online. We detail our General Terms thoroughly
so that each buyer can know in advance what they are purchasing. We feel
this is far better than surprises or disappointments for our customers.
These practices allow our buyers to make good decisions before
and during their purchases.
If ever you have any questions, please email us before bidding.
We love to hear from our buyers and bidders and we always try
to respond very promptly, usually same day if not within hours.

Guide To The Right Fit

OUR SUGGESTIONS FOR RECEIVING A GARMET THAT FITS!
1.
Don't bid on "tag size". Bid on the measurements
in the specific listing you're considering.
There
is no such thing as a standardized measurement chart based
on tag size for clothes. Sizing charts can vary greatly
between designers/manufacturers, styles and body type sizing.
Also manufacturing cut runs can vary slightly day to day. That's
why we measure every single item we sell individually.
2.
Take your measurements before bidding.
a.
Bust : Measure
around your body over the largest part of your bust. Measure with
your bra on if you'll be wearing a bra with the item you're considering.
b. Waist: Measure
around, typically 6-8" below the armpit.
c. Hips: Measure
around the largest portion of your hips, typically 14-16"
from the armpit.
3.
You'll be the most satisfied with your garmet fit when you measure
yourself before bidding, then bid on clothes that match
your body type (Plus, Womens, Misses, Junior, etc.)
instead of trying to step up or down a size or two
for clothes made for a different body type.

here to see our comprehensive chart on the differences
between Plus, Womens, Misses, Junior and Slash Sizes!
4. Consider the garmet's material before bidding, and especially
pay attention to whether the material is stretchy, not stretchy,
has "give" but no stretch, is lined or not, etc. When
pertinent, (often is) we'll give you this information in the "Measurements"
Section within the listing itself. Then when bidding,
consider how you would like a specific garmet
to fit your body (from very tight to very loose).
For
garmets with little to no stretch in the fabric, we recommend
either . . .
-
that
your body measurements be
at least 1 - 3 inches LESS than
the seam to seam measurements
we give in the listing for wiggle room, or
-
measure
the B-W-H of a style-similar, nonstretchy,
well-fitting garmet from your own closet in the same way
as we measure. (See below) Then use those garmet measurements
as your guide to bid on our listings.
For
garmets made of material that stretches, we'll generally
try to give you an idea in the listing under the Measurements
section of how much stretch there is in the fabric. Depending
on the style and fabric, we may make other comments about the
effect of "using some of the stretch" on how the garmet
may fit. The final choice still is up to you as we do not know
your preferences.
6.
Always email us with any and all questions
before placing a bid. No question is silly! Just ask!
If you need special measurements taken of the specific item before
you bid, try to give us 24 hrs as we often have lots of these
requests.

How
We Measure
|
|
Back
To Top
|
- SEAM
TO SEAM:
All our unstretched
measurements are taken seam to seam, taut but not pulled
apart. For stretchy material, if appropriate for the fabric
and style, we may also give the stretched measurements,
which are taken by pulling the seams apart using the stretch
of the fabric. .
- Bust: From armpit seam to armpit seam, then doubled if this is the best true measurement. It is for most styles.
- Waist: taken at the actual, natural or intended waistline of the garmet. On a dress or long blouse, this is usually 6-8" below the armpit sepending on whether its a Junior, Misses, Petit, Plus, W, etc.
- Hips: taken at the actual natural or intended hips of the garmet, which is usually between 14-16" from the armpits or 25-27" from the shoulder seam.
- Length: Depends on the style and specified in listing. May be taken from shoulder seam down or armpit down, etc.
- Lining: We turn dress, for example, inside out and take lining measurements.
- Other:
We give you other measurements pertinent to the style, such
as arm hole circumference, sleeve length, inner seam lengths,
etc.

HOW
THEY DIFFER - Jr, Petite, Misses, Womens, Plus Sizes
|
|
|
Individual clothing designers/manufacturers
determine their own "size charts." These can be very
different for each manufacturer or even different with the same
manufacturer for different styles.
Still, there is "some"
uniformity in their "categories" of sizes for different
body types. Call it the fit, the cut, the figure or body type,
the proportions, or whatever term you prefer. Here are some general
guidelines that will help you choose garmets that fit you best.
Note, for example, an "XL" size could be a Junior, Misses
or even a Womens size. See how they differ here.
