Lutheran Services in America (LSA) is one of the largest nonprofit networks in the country. LSA is an alliance of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and their 300 related health and human service organizations. These independent organizations serve in thousands of communities all across the United States and the Caribbean. Last year services were provided to over 6 million people, or one in 50 Americans.

Trading Graces Online Auction is an annual fundraising/awareness auction to benefit Lutheran health and human service organizations. The proceeds generated by the auction go directly to the sponsoring member organization. Watch for our upcoming auctions which begin on the first Tuesday of every month.

What types of items can be donated to Trading Graces Online Auction?

Almost anything sells on eBay, so anything is possible. Some suggested items include: vintage toys in original boxing, antiques, sporting apparel and equipment, autographed sports memorabilia, watches, rings and vintage jewelry, the use of a vacation villa and more. How can I give an item to Trading Graces Online Auction?

To give an item to the auction simply contact John Carter at 410-230-3548 or e-mail him at jcarter@lutheranservices.org. to make donation arrangements.  To find the nearest Lutheran participating organization to your home, contact 410-230-3548 or email jcarter@lutheranservices.org.

Can I donate a service to Trading Graces Online Auction?

Yes. Trading Graces Online Auction will also auction services. Some suggested services include: manicures, hair cuts, lawn services, landscaping, snow removal, design/graphic work and more. What if I don’t have anything to give and want to participate in Trading Graces Online Auction?

Everyone has something to give. If you can donate an hour or two a week as a volunteer, we can find ways for you to help produce and promote the Trading Graces Online Auction.  You can help a member organization plan and produce the event.  Some tasks, like researching on eBay, can even be done while volunteering from your home.  Call 410-230-3548 or e-mail  jcarter@lutheranservices.org to find out how you can help. Buying items at auction supports the programs and services of Lutheran health and human service organizations. Your purchase can benefit an agency right in your own community!

Volunteers Needed  Trading Graces is looking for savvy eBayers to volunteer of their expertise.  Would you be willing to work with a Lutheran Services in America member organization to help them produce the event?  Volunteer assistance is welcomed for the following:

• eBay Power Sellers/Trading Assistants to volunteer their assistance to list items on behalf of member organization(s)
• eBay Power Sellers/Trading Assistants to help members identify items that sell well on eBay, recommend pricing and develop winning items descriptions, or
• Seasoned eBayers willing to mentor a member organization event planner
