I was planning to retire from Ebay in 1999, but here we are. I'm not a dealer but a 2nd-generation train collector who is thinning out an 80-year collection, trading quanitity (and sometimes rarity) for quality and stuff I like. I've been a member of TCA since 1981, and was a Family Member from 1965. I believe in doing unto others as I would have them do unto me. That means pointing out what pictures don't show, offering many payment options and legendary fast shipping. Thanks for your interest in my items. --NJC USA 20847
For grading tinplate trains, I use Train Collectors Association (TCA) standards.
Policy On Local Contacts: Occasionally I get a winning bidder who lives near me in the Washington, DC, area. Sorry, I cannot complete transactions by meeting you personally or by giving items to your friends/relatives to deliver. I have long, crazy work hours and my personal time is very precious.
Sometimes Asked Question: Why have I been blocked from bidding on your items? I probably have the longest blocked-bidder list on Ebay. The reasons you may be on it: 1) You won an item but never paid. 2) We completed the transaction, but I found you unpleasant to deal with. 3) You sent me nasty e-mail or e-mail indicating that you may be a problem to deal with. 4) I have noticed the feedback you've received from others for non-paying or other problems. Whoever makes my blocked-bidder list, stays on it and I don't answer e-mails from blocked people. So move on; they're only trains.
