Scott has been in the model train
business for 30 years now from the start in 1975 in his parent's garage. We
really do enjoy the model train business and we really want you to be happy
with what you buy and have an overall great experience. We obtain the majority
of our trains from private collections and defunct hobby stores. We have a
tremendous variety of items and it is constantly changing. Here is a look
into our operation:
We Check
and Repair Our Items Before Selling Them
All of our Prewar and Postwar items are cleaned, tested, and repaired,
if needed, by our three repairmen and supported by our parts inventory. The
pictures of our repair slips in our auction photos are filled out by our repairmen
for that item being sold. Sorry, but we currently do not sell parts at this
time, but we plan to in the future.
More
About Us
Hours
Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM EST, excluding holidays.
We are not open on weekends. If you send us questions after 4:00 PM ET or
so that end that same evening, you will probably not get an answer, since
we are not here! - Sorry about that! Please send your questions in at least
a day before the auction ends, or on Friday for auctions that end on Sunday
nights.
Checkout & our System At then end of each auction you will receive an email from us congratulating
you as the winner and that email will also have a link for you to checkout
and pay for your purchase. If you win multiple items, clicking the link in
each email will load each item for you into your shopping cart. Also when
you check out from eBay or PayPal you will be redirected to the Trainz store
where your auction winnings will be added to our shopping cart as well. You
can also then add more items from our store that we haven't yet launched to
eBay and other items we have for sale there as well. The shopping cart system
also calculates your shipping cost for you including combined shipping discounts.
You can create an account for yourself there to simplify the process when
you come back. We will soon be listing additional items to complement what
we are also selling on eBay like track, catalogs, videos, and all sorts of
other cool things.
Systems & Shipping We utilize a computer program to assist in our communication to you
to let you know when you are the winning bidder of auctions, to let you know
when we have received your payment, and to let you know that your item has
shipped. Spam-blocking software, and other factors will sometimes block our
notifications. Once an item is paid for and the payment is posted in our system,
the shipping receipt is automatically printed in the warehouse where your
items are pulled for shipping. We currently ship FedEx, UPS, and USPS and
we insure every package. We include the carrier's tracking number, if it is
available, in our email notifying you that your order has shipped to you so
you can track the status of you package if you like. If you are an International
buyer we ship everything via FedEx International.
100% Satisfaction Guarantee - You Can Bet your Caboose on that! If you receive an item that is not as our listing described, you can always send back your purchase for a full refund or repair. Or, we will make an agreeable adjustment. If it is our fault we will pay the shipping charges both ways. We do strive to provide you with a perfect buying experience and will do everything we can to make things right. You are always welcome to return an item for a full refund if you are unhappy for any reason. Please notify us within 7 days of receiving your item if you wish to return an item or have a problem with your purchase.
We operate with integrity and hold ourselves to the highest standards
We operate our business with integrity and are proud of our feedback rating of 99.5%. We would really like it to be 100%, but it seems some folks would prefer to just leave negative feedback instead of contacting us to resolve problems. PLEASE contact us first if you have a problem, so we can correct it. Both Scott and Milinda are TCA members and Scott's membership number is 75-8067. Over the past three years we have posted well over 100,000 auctions and received well over 100,000 positive feedbacks.
Our Process Our General Manager and resident train expert, Tommy, reviews all of the auctions to catch any inaccuracies before they go up on eBay. While we try to be as accurate as possible, we are human and we occasionally make mistakes, but we are really committed to getting it 100% right all the time. We are not open nights and weekends, so if you contact us through our support portal, you won't get a reply from us until Monday. We appreciate your patience during these times and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

We Pay Finders Fees For Train
Collections!
We are always looking for more trains to sell, and prefer to buy
medium to large collections in the $10,000 - $100,000 range, or more, but
of course will consider any size deal. If you are the first person to refer
a collection to us, and we buy it, we will pay you a finder's fee! Our finder's
fee is 2% of what we pay the owner for the trains.
This is Scott, ready to buy your trains.
Thinking of Selling
Your Trains?
Check out our information website at www.trainsite.com
We believe selling your trains comes down to how important the following
three factors are to you:
1. Getting the highest price
2. How much work are you willing to do
3. How fast do you need the money?
Our Other Train

We now list many of our items for sale on our latest web site, Trainz.com before we launch them on
eBay. Here is your chance to preview what we are going to auction every day
and it also will provide you the opportunity to purchase items immediately
at great prices. Also, when you check out from eBay you will be redirected
to the Trainz store where your auction winnings will be added to your shopping
cart and you can also then add more items from our store as well. The shopping
cart system also calculates your shipping cost for you including combined
shipping discounts. You can create an account for yourself there to simplify
the checkout and data entry process when you come back. We will soon be
listing additional items here to complement what we are also selling on
eBay like track, catalogs, videos, and all sorts of other cool things.
Be sure and check out our Trainz Marketplace which you will find to be
a fantastic free reference library with pictures, especially for O, S, and
Standard gauge model trains. The site now has over 25,000 different train
models and more than 20,000 have pictures as well.
Finally, how about train artwork? Trainpaintings.com has many lithograph prints
of classic railroad artwork by Robert West.
Thank You!!
Thank you for all of your purchases, support, and kind positive

continue to search the country for more trains to offer you to purchase.
We appreciate your business and will continue to work hard to earn it in
the future. We love it!
