My name is Roxie and my husband is Gary. Together, we are R & G Casino Collectibles. We live in Northern Kentucky and have 4 sons; 3 granddaughters and 2 grandsons.
We are members of the CC>CC which stands for "Casino Chip and Gaming Token Collectors Club". We have been to all but two of the conventions. I was a little bored looking at chip after chip after chip but the ashtrays (and a few other things) caught my eye. Soon, I was a collector of trays! I personally now have about 2,000 or so along with a bunch of duplicates. From time to time, I sell my dups on eBay but I buy more than I sell. LOL.
People at our conventions saw me using the book my husband and I made to keep track of my growing personal collection and tried to get me to "take the book public" since Art Anderson's book Casinos and Their Ashtrays was not going to be updated. Well, one of the things I do best is procrastinate and so I put it off for a few years! In 2002, we "went public" with an updated, easy to use guide for collectors of casino ashtrays. We also came up with a very catchy title: Casino Ashtrays. Pretty clever, eh? We had planned to update the book in 2005 but due to several obstacles, we have sadly decided that we will not be updating our book at any time in the near future. We would like to thank everyone who bought our book and thanks to everyone that has inquired about it.
As a dealer at a local riverboat casino, I meet some interesting people. As a member of CC>CC I've met very many fascinating people and I enjoy their continuing friendship. I am also a big fan of the people I've dealt with on eBay as both a buyer and a seller. I feel like I have friends worldwide & I'm a lucky TRAYLADY!
