Mr. Perry has over thirty-five years experience and expertise in fine, antique and estate jewelry. He is also deeply involved in civic activities and carries with him the reputation as a fine auctioneer. His original concept more than thirty years ago was to become a broker in fundraising activities for church and civic groups.  Over a short period of time he and his wife Priscilla, accumulated over 50 coffee cans full of unique jewelry that they didn have the heart to melt down. So they went into business and discovered an enthusiasm on the part of the public to match their own.   

Now 30 years after opening Perry Fine, Antique and Estate Jewelry, wee remained faithful to Mr. Perry original concept. We are actively involved in 50 to 75 charitable events each year by virtue of jewelry donations, volunteering our time and setting up silent auctions. Mr. Perry donates his time as a licensed auctioneer, performing many of the live auctions himself. We raise countless dollars via these auctions as well as all the items we broker for charities each and every year. This is only a few of the charitable organizations wee worked with recently.

At Perry's we will buy, consign, auction and of course sell most any jewelry item.  Our buyers, all Gemologists, are more than qualified to evaluate your jewelry.  There is never a charge for verbal evaluations.  If you are planning a visit to show us your estate jewelry, please call ahead to verify that a buyer will be available on the day you plan to visit, no appointment necessary.  If you live too far to visit us in person, you are welcome to mail us your treasures.

Gather the items you would like to mail to us for consignment or purchase.  

Locate a properly-sized container in which you can place your items loosely.

Use plenty of packing to insure your items won't be damaged.

Enclose a note listing the items you're sending and their estimated value for shipping purposes, along with your name, address, phone number and email address.

Close the package securely and address to:

Include your return address on the package.

Take your package to the post office and send it by Registered Mail with return receipt.

When we receive your items, they will be carefully appraised by one of our experts, and you'll be called promptly with our best offers for both consignment and purchase. Should you decide to keep the items, they will be returned by registered mail the next day.

Should you require a written appraisal for insurance or estate purposes or an appraisal update, please call to schedule an appointment with our independent Graduate Gemologist, Sue Whitaker.  She is a Graduate Gemologist from The Gemological Institute of America since 1984.  She is an Appraiser from The International Society of Appraisers since 1993.  She is currently enrolled in a course on Gems and Jewelry Appraisal Theory, Methods and Application.  Upon completion she will apply for the title "Accredited Senior Appraiser."  Sue has 26 years experience.

All insurance appraisals include: Complete detailed description of each item; Plots of diamonds that measure over 5mm; Photos of all items; Research on trademarks where applicable.

Written appraisals are by appointment or you can have the convenience of leaving your items or shipping your items.  There is a per item charge depending upon the complexity and quantity of items you need appraised.

Our efficient repair department is staffed with expert jewelers and a custom jewelry designer.  No job is too big or too small. Our skilled jewelers are eager to take on any challenge your jewelry needs may present. Each piece brought in for repair is carefully examined in order to determine the work needed and to present you with the most cost effective estimate. We take great pride in striving to do our very best work to the satisfaction of our customers.

Perry is also known as a jeweler's jeweler.  Other jewelers frequently come to us to authenticate and appraise an item.  Our staff, including five Gemologists, is more than equal to the task of appraising and pricing, and yes, loving the unique pieces that pass before our eyes.  Jewelry is more than a business to us.  It is an important part of our lives.  We appreciate that we are dealing with history and with a level of quality unseen in most of today's pieces.
