During the day, I operate the family owned retail store located in scenic Southern Illinois. We sell both new, boutique brands of children's clothing and also accept consignment of gently worn name brand items. In the past our boutique items were listed in our eBay store (1000 listings were normal) but due to increasing fees and lack of marketing support it was closed. I am now working on listing those on Blujay, although it has been a slow process - the drawback of living in the middle of nowhere - we are outside of range for anything but dial-up.
I've always enjoyed listing on eBay, although it's not the first website I log into each morning anymore and my listings are now more about the consignment side of the store. We get in so many wonderful items that there just isn't room for everything to stay. I do try to pull and group items that are same brand/size/season so that you can save on a great lot while helping make room for more.
Our website continues construction and currently just provides a little bit more information about the retail location. Once all items are on Blujay I'm hoping to have linked to make it easier to find by size and brand.
And then in my spare time I do like to craft - currently knitting is my favorite hobby. It's something I can toss in a bag and take to work or while I'm waiting for school to get out. I have been listing my own work and many fabric panels/patterns on Etsy recently. Sadly we lost my mother recently after a short battle with cancer and she was an avid crafter and did many craft shows - I have over 40 of her fabric panels and still more Christmas themed ones to go through later.
