Here is some information to make your experience on eBay a fun and easy way to buy great merchandise from Tribeca Blu. Please read this section and browse thru the rest of our ME page for helpful information.

Some pointers for a smooth transaction 

  • Always ask questions if you are not sure.
  • Never leave feedback to express a concern. Contacting us first is the best way to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Allow us time to respond to your emails. We pride ourselves on answering quickly. But it may take 12 hours or longer.
  •  If you wish to buy more than one item, we will combine shipping on items that can safely be shipped together. Your Winning Bidder Email Invoice will reflect the combined shipping total for items that closed on the same day.  
  • Please don't assume an item will arrive in two days. We are very fast shippers as you will see in our feedback. However, we do NOT guarantee shipping time frames. If you need special attention, please ask and we will do our best.

All items are brand new always. Some items are handmade and will have variations in color or design due to the handmade nature of the product. Many of our items are part of a collection of items you will find on our auctions and our website.

Shipping Information

Packaging

Orders are packed using appropriate packing materials. Depending on the contents, we may use styro-foam, peanuts, bubble wrap, shredded newspaper or styro-foam blocks. Most orders will arrive in a Priority Mail Box from the United States Post office and will be clearly marked from Tribeca Blu. Some items may be shipped using United Parcel Service. UPS is generally used for one item or a combined order weighing more than four pounds. 

Domestic Shipping

United States Post Office - Standard shipping is sent via United States Priority Mail. Standard shipping is for orders weighing less than 3 pounds. These orders are usually processed within 24-72 hours (business days) of the business day we receive the order or payment. All items shipped using Priority Mail should arrive at their destination within 2-3 business days. Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, APO's , FPO's and any other non continental US territory may take longer and will incur additional shipping charges . You will receive an email confirmation when your item has been shipped.

Priority Mail guidelines are as follows:

Priority Mail will be the method of shipping most items weighing less than 3 lbs , or any combination of items that can safely be shipped together and weigh less than 3 lbs. Priority Mail is expected to be delivered within 2-3 business days of  ship date. Business days do not include weekends or holidays.


Examples of items shipped using Priority Mail.

  • Any items weighing less than 3 pounds, anything smaller or small and breakable.
  • Wallpaper, prints , posters, small murals, shower curtains, toothbrush holders, soap dishes, switch plates, trivets, salt and pepper shakers, oven mitts, towels, small statues. 



United Parcel Service - Most items that are shipped using UPS are shipped using UPS ground which may take up to 10 business days to arrive. Extended shipping times are more likely to occur on the west coast. United Parcel Service is normally used on items weighing over  3 or 4  lbs , large bulky items, or items traveling a greater distance. UPS is the most economical way to ship such packages.

UPS Ground guidelines depend on where the item is shipping. We have supplied a UPS map below that shows the zones as applicable to our ship from zone. Shipping time frames are in business days.

  • Yellow - 1 day
  • Gold- 2 days
  • Olive green- 3 days
  • Rust- 4 days
  • Orange-5 days
  • Beige - 6 days

*NOTE   The time frames above are business days and exclude weekends and holidays.

Examples of items shipping UPS Ground

  • Items that are heavy, weighing over 3 or 4 pounds 

  • Garden Statues such as our Humpty Dumpty Statue, Large murals, statues 12" and higher, pineapple lamp, wine chiller, pot racks, stocking holders

 

UPS guarantees the day of delivery for every ground package you ship to any address within the 48 contiguous states, except for any ground package originating in Alaska or Hawaii. In addition, the guarantee applies to shipments from Puerto Rico to the 48 contiguous states (see Terms and Conditions for details). Service Map colors may vary due to differences in hardware and software. For the scheduled days in transit for ground packages shipped within the 48 contiguous states, please use the Time-in-Transit calculator.

Shipping and Insurance

The shipping cost is not exact shipping but a flat rate. We determine the method of shipping. We cannot take requests for Fedex or any other carrier at this time. We do not refund any difference in shipping charges. Shipping charges and method are determined on our end according to weight, dimensions, shipping method and packaging materials needed. We do not charge handling fees. Your order could take 10 days or more to arrive. If you need your item faster, please email us with the auction name and number, your state and zip code and how fast you would to ship and we can look into alternatives.  

Insurance

  • Insurance is mandatory on all purchases. Insurance is only 1.00$ per customer. This protects all parties involved and helps us to insure a pleasant experience.
  • Insurance is provided by Tribeca Blu.

Damage / Loss 

  • Damages must be reported within 7-10 days. Missing items will be reported to carrier.
  • Damage or Loss is rare and will be handled on a case by case basis.
  • Depending on the circumstances we will decide whether to issue a refund, discount or a replacement item. The decision on how an issue is handled is at our discretion.
  • Items shipped via USPS Priority Mail , Parcel Post, or UPS will be tracked on our end and we are notified when they have reached their destination.

Combined Shipping

  • We combine shipping on any orders that can be safely packaged and shipped together. There are situations where certain items may not be shipped together. Please email to find out if your items can be safely shipped together to save $$$. 
  • You can get combined shipping from Tribeca Blu when you purchase multiple items. To receive combined shipping simply wait for your combine shipping invoice to arrive in your email . If you have auctions that have closed on different days , you will receive multiple invoices. to combine these invoices , just send us an email at tribeca.blu@verizon.net. Tell us your user name and let us know you need multiple auctions combined. We will then pull up all invoices with your user name and forward and new , combined total invoice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q-Why have I received so many emails??

       A- At the end of the auction you will receive an email from eBay to congratulate you on your winning bid. You may also receive a payment request that comes from Paypal. These emails are automated and are not generated on our end. You will also receive an email from Tribeca Blu with the words " Tribeca Blu Winning Bidder" in the subject line. This email is from us and it contains all the information you need to complete the transaction. There is a link to Paypal included for your convenience. Our email explains the process , what to expect , gives totals with or without  insurance and tax, and contains any disclosures that you may need to be aware of. 

Q- Why did I receive a winning bidder email from you when I have already paid?   

       A- We send our winning bidder emails on a daily basis. We send these emails prior to recording payments. We also need to document that you have received the information in the winning bidder email. 

Q-  Was my item shipped/ When was my item shipped?

      A-  Of course we can understand your desire to know if your item is enroute. Upon completion of packaging and shipment, we send an "Item Shipped" email. It is sent on the day your item was shipped. If you have not received such an email then your item has not been shipped yet  and is still being processed. If you have made payment using a personal check there is a clearing time of 10 days and your item cannot be shipped until payment has been confirmed as cleared on our end. 

Q- Where is my item?

       A- As much as we would love to answer this question, once the item has left our premises it is in the hands of the USPS (United States Post Office) or UPS( United Parcel Service). If you have received an "Item Shipped" email then it is on it's way.

Q- I paid for insurance but there is no insurance stamp on the package.

       A- To provide our customers with a higher level of service , we have decided to insure our own packages.  This allows us to provide excellent customer service and protects everyone involved.This disclaimer appears on our auction page.

Q- Do you combine shipping?

       A- Yes. We do combine shipping to save money on shipping costs. However, some items may not be shipped together as they may become damaged. If this is a deciding factor when bidding on an auction, please email us first. 

Q- May I pick up my item in person?

       A- Unfortunately no.  Currently we work out of a warehouse and for insurance and legal reasons we are not permitted to have customers on site. We strictly enforce this. 

Q- Do you have a catalog?

       A- We do not currently have a catalog. All of our products appear on our website.

Feedback Policy

Feedback Policy

You will find that feedback is a controversial issue on eBay. Although both sellers and buyers agree it is crucial, the debate continues over who should leave feedback first. Many buyers feel that the seller should leave feedback immediately following payment. Many sellers feel that buyers should be first. 

Tribeca Blu agrees that feedback is critical to the eBay community. It helps buyers determine the level of service to expect and whether or not to buy. Feedback helps sellers to know who they are dealing with.

Tribeca Blu's current policy is to only return feedback already left. The main reason for this is the time factor. Tribeca Blu currently uses an automated system to return feedback. This insures that feedback is returned and allows us to spend more time and effort on customer service.  In addition, positive feedback is warranted after the entire transaction is complete. 

A buyers end of the transaction is not complete until the item is received and they are happy. In the event that an item is damaged during shipping, or the buyer is not happy, then the buyer should contact the seller and allow the seller the opportunity to remedy the situation. 

We value our feedback rating and we hope you do also. We always return feedback.
