Back to previous page  About "The Stole Maker" The first design Serendipity Uniques launched in May of 2008 as an "experiment." Having done some supply preaching, I had put a lot of thought into what kind of stole I would want if I pursued pastoral ministry. I started with three designs and sold the first one on June 30, 2008. Since then, I have greatly enjoyed the creative outlet this "art" provides, and my whole family enjoys tracking the number of states and countries where my stoles find a place in a community of worship. The second design Part of my motivation for pursuing an eBay business was to support my primary ministry in Christian Education. I currently am employed by my church to coordinate a rotational curriculum (see www.rotation.org) for children k-5th grades. In August of 2010 the church will no longer be able to pay me my current salary, and I want to be able to continue in that ministry, by bringing in an income through my eBay business.
