Hello, there! Glad to have you stop by and visit.
First off, I suppose I should tell you a little about myself.
I am a 40 year old man in Miami, Florida, Single, fun loving and Funny.
I tend to keep to myself, very quiet, I dont go out much, if at all. (just the way I like it, actually). Some of it probably stems from the simple fact that I am deaf (yep, since age 6, due to spinal meningetis) but mostly because I just don't tend to enjoy being around lots of people. "What?", you say, "You dont like being around lots of people and still moved to a Big City like Miami, from a tiny little town in rural Pennsylvania called Roulette!" Well, yeah.. I can put up with the people.. sure beats putting up with Snow and Cold Weather.. hehehe!
However, in Cyberspace, I find I have a lot of friends online, just people to chat with, waste some time with, and communicate with..
Anyhow, Here I am , on E-Bay, after a lifetime of working in various industries and trades, deciding to try and make a go of what has always been just a hobby- E-Commerce.
I havent decided entirely what I want to start selling, I will always be going out to yard sales, estate sales, etc and finding bargains (I get a thrill out of Bargain Hunting.. probably not a surprise to many of you..)
In the meantime, I will probably draw on my experience as a mechanic/truck driver/computer geek/book collector to come up with great deals on products that maybe no one else offers. Many times I may post a particularly interesting auction with my own personal insight on the item.
Ever since I was 13, Ive worked with my hands, up until a few years ago, starting my own small engine repair shop while I was still in school (and I did pretty good at it too, just made a few mistakes, and bad economy in '91 kind of killed it). From there, Ive worked on everything from 3-pound chainsaws and weedeaters to 40 ton construction equipment. I was an ASE triple master (ASE certified Master Auto, Master Truck, and Master Machinist, plus L1 and L2 certifications, and 3 courses away from becoming Ford Master Engine technician)... Then I got sick of cars. Went to work for a construction company, got my class A CDL, and worked on heavy trucks, Construction equipment , mine equipment (Rock crushers, graders, dozers, backhoes, excavators, etc) for a while... and did about 6 month stint at a national trucking company before I got the opportunity to move to Miami, where I worked on cars for another 16 months before I finally broke in to Computers. Went to work as a programmer analyst and systems administrator, specializing in web hosting, php, perl, python development, all on mostly Linux systems.
Been doing that ever since.
Based on all that experience, I'm starting a blog and e-commerce website to bring quality product at a great deal to the general public.. All those years spent in customer service, giving and receiving same, leaves me knowing exactly how I would want and expect to be treated as a customer.. and hope to bring that top notch personal service to this business as well.
Probably most of what you will see me posting will be Automotive and construction tools and equipment, books, some collectibles, as well as my personal stuff Ive finally decided to part with, and of course, mixed in with that will be some of those great bargains I pick up at yard sales and thrift stores all around.
All of my sales include my own motto- I treat every customer the way I would want to be treated myself.. before I do anything, I always reflect on it and think.. "if it were me as the buyer, what would *I* expect from the seller?"
I try to be as accurate as possible in my descriptions without being excessively negative, so if you happen to be buying one of my items and when you get it you think "well, it's not quite what I thought it would be", I am always anxious for feedback so I can improve my descriptions, especially on pre-owned items. Photography is not my strong suit, so Ive noticed sometimes the photos make an item look better (or worse) than it actually is..
Anyhow, This page will probably change as time goes by, so check back once in a while and see what's new!
Happy Bidding!
