Me on one of my "High Maintenence" days.

Some people think that mathematicians are little old men in tweedy sweaters with glasses. Other people imagine mathematicians as Donny Epps-type geeks with about as much fashion sense as a Mr. Potato Head--minus his interchangable accessories!
Well, I'm a mathematician, but I don't fit either of those stereotypes. (I hope!)
As a graduate student in mathematics PhD program at a large public university, it is very important to me to rebel against the stereotypical image of mathematicians. I dare say that I even try to make it easier for female mathematicians to be feminine by showing that a competent mathematician doesn't have to be masculine (the effect of such assumptions is called "stereotype threat" in psychological literature). Plus, when I look good, I feel good, so I work harder!
