Back to previous page  A Little Bit About Me A Little Bit About Me My Great Aunt Betty was my "Auntie Mame". Because of her, her travels, her life style and her generosity of spirit, I grew up in the wonderland of her antiques and of her unusual and interesting collections of all sorts of things from all over the world. She was a very stylish woman so I also learned about clothing, jewelry, accessories and, of course, shoes. I thought she was the most beautiful and elegant woman in the world. When I was 16, she gave me my first Antique, my first piece of quality Vintage Costume Jewelry, my first piece of Antique Ethnic Jewelry and my first piece Vintage Clothing, all from her own personal collections. She taught me how to travel to exotic places, how to respect and appreciate the beauty of the people and cultures of these places. From her, I learned the proper etiquette and manners to be a welcomed visitor in foreign lands. She opened my eyes to the World. She taught me to collect for my personal pleasure, not for the sake of investment. I was hooked. Aunt Betty changed my life. I will be eternally grateful to her. One of the families that really own the property we call ours We live in rural North West Montana. It's a beautiful place and we love it here. It's quiet and peaceful, something we both consider a necessity at this time of our lives. No one else in the family loves the things I have inherited from my Great Aunt, a few friends and the things that I have collected over the decades. We will, of course, gift specific items to friends and some of his younger relatives. My son and his wife will get the bulk of the items handed down from my Great Aunt if they want them. But there is so much more than that. I am retired due to my physical disadvantages. I can no longer work outside the home. My husband is semi-retired. We have decided to offer much of the rest of our stuff on eBay to others who love, appreciate and understand what these old treasures from days gone by are about in this throw away society that we live in today. Even though I am physically challenged, my mind is not as far as I am concerned. I still have the desire to work and contribute to our lifestyle. Now I have the opportunity to work in a way that I enjoy. I still buy, but not so much for me anymore. I buy because I love the hunt and to re-sell here. I also buy items that some of my clients have asked me to search out for them. It keeps my mind active and interested and I use the hunt as part of my physical therapy.
