"Mesa" - she loves to chew wood....

Hi everyone.... Thanks for visiting my "about me" page to learn a little about me and the items that I sell. 

I am from a small northern Ontario community , situated 75 kilometers west of Sudbury.  I am a young widow and a serious Labrador Retriever lover (I have two, one of which I think is a beaver in disguise).   I have been a crafter of one type or another most of my adult life and love to learn new crafting techniques.  When I started tolepainting I knew I had found my true crafting love and have been doing it ever since.  Although I had owned my own sign shop business for many years,  the love and passion I have for tolepainting and the lack of beautiful pieces to paint on inspired me to start my own craft business, COYOTE WOODWORKS, in 2002.  I wanted to be able to offer tolepainters and other crafters a wider variety of intricately engraved MDF and Fibrex items to paint or craft on.   I have shown my items at large tole painting shows in Canada and the US and have had hundreds of my original pieces published in books, pattern packets and magazines such as Paint Works, Quick & Easy, Tole World and Decorative Painter.  I also am proud to say that my items have graced the front covers 4 times.   Some renowned decorative artists that I design pieces for are Maureen McNaughton, Bob Pennycook, Lynda Palmer, Ann Lalonde, Kim Christmas and Mo Shier, just to name a few.  I am the sole designer for my business but love to hear from customers who have ideas or special requests and often get much inspiration from them.  .

In April 2005 I decided to make some of my original pieces available on eBay.  I wanted more people to be able to have access to my pieces and have the wonderful experience of painting on MDF and Fibrex.   Because of all the interest in our products, we have now added some scapbooking and personalized items to our inventory and will continue to add new and unique items on a regular basis.
