I am a Decorative (tole) painter. Items to paint are signs, plaques, home decor, Wall Hangings, birdhouses, and what ever is available, slate and driftwood from Lake Erie. Hand Painted baseball caps, visors and wide brim hats. I love painting florals, and wildlife. deer, birds, chipmonks, racoons, etc.
I have two children who are grown with families of their own and two grandchildren.
We have lived on the shores of Lake Erie forever. My husband is an avid fisherman, loves to fish the summers in Lake Erie for Walleye and Perch. When the lakes freeze over, he is ice fishing for perch. The Lake is covered now with a thin layer of ice, and he has his hut ready. We do a lot of boating in the summer. Many evenings just sitting in the harbor relaxing on the boat. I love being out on the lake in late summer on a clear night watching the northern lights in the sky over Buffalo. It's like taking a ride to Heaven. He is also an avid hunter. He comes home to eat and sleep so I have a lot of time to paint.
We have two dogs, a black lab (Shadow), he is still a puppy not quite a year old. A Golden Retriever (Gunner), My grandson named him Gunner, he is full of spunk, he races around the yard and house like a greyhound and barks like a hound dog. Sometimes when he barks he scares himself and jumps off all four legs. At night he is my lap dog, sometimes making it hard to see the TV. He thinks the decorative pond is his pool, low hanging tree branches are swings, and my bushes belong in the kitchen. If I lay a hose down while it is running, he brings it to me. no matter where I am? Lately he has been helping me load wood for the wood burner, I found a log in his bed.
Gunner and Shadow are best friends and good for each other.I love watching the two together. Gunner tries to catch the squirrels and Shadow follows next to him. Gunner is now the big guy. Gunner has a habit of hanging his tongue out of his mouth, especially when it is hot. The puppy grabs hold of it and tries to pull him around. Yesterday, they were making butter, they had each others tails and kept going in circles.
As you can see we had to move the pond, it was too close to the kitchen, with the mud......
