More Than 100 Years Experience in The Tool Business!
This is our third year on E-Bay and the response has been amazing! We have sent tools to satisfied customers all over the United States and the World. We've even sent air ratchets to Australia, crescent wrenches to the Caribbean and metal nibblers to Norway! Some of the most moving letters we have received from our customers have come from Industrial and Mechanical Arts teachers in high schools and technical colleges around the country. By offering such low prices on professional tools we hope we are doing our part in allowing you as well as the crafts people of the future to follow their dreams!
Our family has been in the tool business, as Charlie Second Hand Tools, in the brick and mortar world, for more than 70 years. Our grandfather started the business when he left Salt Lake City, Utah (and his father shoe business) for Pueblo, Colorado in 1928. In 1946, Charlie moved the store to Denver, Colorado and was joined by his son, Harold, who had recently returned from service in World War II, where he earned the Purple Heart in the European theater. Harold was joined by son-in-law, Ronnie, and son, Steve, in the 1980 and amongst us we have more than 100 years experience. Now almost 15% of our business is done through E-Bay! This means that you've not only helped keep our family business going into the 21st century, but saved our wonderful, historical circa 1880 Larimer street building.
We have three keys to our business: knowledge, customer service and relationships. We feel that you don stay in business for more than 57 years in the same place without demonstrating customer service. We take a true personal interest in our customers. We are always willing to answer calls during regular business hours by phone. If you prefer, e-mail us with your questions and we will make sure it gets answered. And because we have been in business for so long we have excellent and varied connections with tool makers and vendors.
Although we offer or can locate just about any tool (used, like new or new) you need, we specialize in handles for any particular tool that requires a handle. All of your used and like new tools are checked for operation before they are shipped to you. We also try to buy American-made products whenever possible and support American manufacturers.
Our Denver store has been written up in The Denver Post and the weekly Westword, and we have been featured on the local KUSA news program ichol Worth. We have been voted:
