Well, I'm not particularly interesting. First off, I'm from Omaha, NE, the nation's steak basket. Yes, steak basket. Hence the company, Omaha Steaks. I guess you could call Nebraska part of America's bread basket, but there is no nationally known store called Omaha Breads, so I think we'll stick with the steak basket bit.
So I was born and raised in Omaha and love my city. I know it's not the most happenin place in the world, but it's a great place to live and work and raise a family. Single folks may be disappointed, but my friend you cannot beat the cost of living. |

| I work as a secretary full time. I don't have many hobbies other than crochet, reading, learning new software products, and selling plus-sized clothes and other stuff on eBay.
I got started selling stuff on eBay when I noticed that my work clothes were getting too big. They were hard enough for me to find as a plus-sized woman, and I was pretty sure I'm not the only plus-sized woman who finds dressing professionally yet comfortably to be a challenge. So I offered those here and they found a home.
Then I started looking around my home and thought, why not declutter? So I auctioned off some of that stuff too.
Then I thought, well, why not start selling plus sized women's clothes and shoes on eBay? I'm good at finding bargains and it helps other women who are having challenges finding affordable plus sized clothes where they live. So I started doing that.
And while I was at it, I thought, why not bring some integrity to that, and so that's what I've been doing. I've been trying to operate my little business with just as much integrity as I possibly can, and people seem to like that. I will even go so far as to refund money if shipping comes out much different than what a buyer has paid. Some people have been surprised, but I just think it's the right thing to do, and that's how I try to live. |
