Examples of Full Restoration

Consignment Terms; It’s pretty straightforward. Ship the pipes to me and I sell them and send you a check or PayPal (your choice) for 70% of the total amount of the sales total within two weeks of the end of your pipe sales. I’ll include a written receipt to show the details.
(1) I log the pipes in, (2) Do a simple restoration to bring them back to as close to new as possible, (3) Photograph them and Photoshop the pics, (4) then do a thorough description of each pipe, and (5) list them on Ebay. (6) After the auctions end I carefully pack and ship each pipe. Out of my 30% portion come all the related auction fees and PayPal fees, etc.
I will email you when the pipes arrive so you know they got here safely. Once they get through the restoration, photography / Photoshop and descriptions I will list them and email you the listing information so you can watch your auctions.
Simple Restoration (Included): Light cleaning of the bowl exterior, light reaming of the interior, clearing of the shank hole, light buffing of the stem, and a final carnauba waxing or polish of the bowl.
Full Restoration (Extra): If you have pipes that need restoration in your own collection, or to make a consignment pipe sell for the highest bid, I can restore it for you, but at extra cost. What that includes is: (1)Thorough cleaning of a pipe exterior, (2) polishing of the bowl exterior and possible stain retouching, (3) reaming of the bowl interior if needed (4) clearing of the shank hole (5) full stem buffing to remove all possible oxidation without deteriorating markings or logos (6) tighten loose stems. (7) Then a final fine polishing of the stem and waxing of the bowl.
Full restoration on pipes you are consigning would cost $15.
For pipes you just want to have restored, but not sell, the cost would be $20 - $25.
Estimates will be given on a pipe-by-pipe basis and may be slightly less or more, depending on the condition and work needed.
Repairs: If your pipes need more repairs I will contact you with related fees so you can decide what you want to do. If pipes come to me in good condition, and are pretty clean, then the simple restoration (which is included with normal sales) is all you need.
Standard Auction Procedures: I start each auction at .99 cents with no reserve for a standard 7 days. It is a proven strategy that consistently brings in the highest final amounts, so that is the standard process for all my auctions. If you have concerns or suggestions for your pipes sales I will consider options, but reserve the right to run the auctions under the terms above as that is what works best, and what my clients have come to expect. My auctions are always done by Ebay rules, no tricks or exceptions, and my photos and descriptions are as complete and accurate as possible. The listing times are 7 days and set to end on weekday evenings and in the afternoon on weekends, plus I combine shipping to encourage multiple purchases from each buyer.
