Welcome to Rescue Electronics Surplus
My name is Paul Cianciolo. Along with my family, we are trying to do our part to help recycle, reuse, and renew electronic equipment and components in a throw away world.
We live in the town of Harwinton located in Northwest CT. With a population of approx. 5000, Harwinton is a rural community nestled in the foothills of the Berkshire mountains.
We are just 20 miles north of the famous Brass Valley home of the brass and copper giant maufacturers of the 30's, 40's and 50's
Our Philosophy
After seeing how much usable test equipment, radio equipment, semi-precious metals and other electronics was just being thrown away - equipment that perhaps needed minor repairs or had some cosmetic problems, but by no means had ceased being useful.
If a piece of equipment was beyond repair, it could be salvaged for the rare parts inside and perhaps help another similar instrument continue to function. If all else failed, it would be disassembled to its basic metals and sold for scrap.
Since our inception, we have recycled in excess of the following:
-
2200 lbs of Aluminum
- 50 lbs of Stainless Steel hardware
- 350 lbs of copper
- 300 lbs gold bearing circuit boards and IC's
- 4000 lbs of scrap iron from chassis
For the last 10 years, Rescue Electronics Surplus has been selling Litz Wire, electronic parts, resistors, inductors, coils, semiconductors, antennas, variable capacitors, RF components, low pass filters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, voltmeters, and other test equipment for the hobbyist throughout the world.
