I'll never forget the very first time that I watched "The Wizard of Oz" on television many years ago. As Dorothy fell into her dreamstate, her humdrum world of dreary black and white images was suddenly transformed into a magical place that was overflowing with vivid colors and breathtaking images. Rainbow-colored flowers,  adorable munchkins in vivid costumes, and even a yellow brick road were all there to engage the senses as Dorothy's subconscious indulged its whim to see a world that was bigger than life, and more fantastic than anything she  ever could have imagined.

In much the same way, a transition from the ordinary to the extraordinary pretty much sums up the way in which I paint the things that I see. A self-taught artist that only began painting with oils a little over a year ago, my paintings endeavor to romanticize the world that I perceive through an application of liberal, vibrant color. Fellow artists have called my paintings lyrical, stunning and phantasmagoric, and please take a moment to also read some reviews from collectors of my work. The roots of my daily disciplined paintdance can best be traced back to my ballet training and years as a choreographer and ballet company director, and the lyrical quality of my paintings can be traced to my musical background.
