Located in Prescott, Arizona, Vintage-eBooks.com officially launched on eBay January 15, 2002 and is dedicated to publishing books in electronic form that have been out-of-print for years. We also publish print books. The description will clearly indicate if it is a print book or eBook.
How it all began
During the 1990s, I was inspired by a friend to search my family history. Once I began I was immediately hooked on genealogy and have spent many hours searching the internet and family history libraries for clues to my family's past that included the Civil War, the Oregon Trail, and Germany. After posting most of my family tree to various genealogy websites, my most rewarding experience came when my father's long lost half-sister (who was born in the 1930s) was found. Her daughter found me through a genealogy website and we all met in the summer of 2001.
For the past 15 years and currently, my profession is in technical book publishing, and of the last 5 years, I became involved in the publishing of electronic books. It only made sense to find a way to combine my love of genealogy and book publishing into one, thus the launching of Vintage-eBooks. Publishing rare, out-of-print books in electronic form (on CD-ROM) allows them to be offered at a lower price because they are not delivered on paper. Each eBook looks exactly like the print version, you can print the complete book or just the sections you want, and the eBook contains a complete list of hyperlinked bookmarks for every major and minor section in the book. Navigating and finding information in the eBook is simple and fast.
I am now publishing print books under my other publishing company, Borrego Publishing, for self-publishers and small to large book publishers.
