Seriously friends, I'm a retired on disability piano teacher who is married to a musician, composer/arranger/conductor, retired college professor. He wears all these hats because he loves music and to provide a comfortable living for our family.  I've loved gems and jewelry since forever but most all I could afford,  raising and educating two children, was what a very famous jewelry designer (who makes both kinds) refers to as 'junque' jewelry - meaning costume or fashion jewelry.  My disability centers around allergies that keep me home- bound year round and until the last few years,completely isolated during pollen season. My family got me a computer and so I began  searching for something that would keep me from going stir crazy, something  that would hold my interest, be fun and not compromise my condition. Quite by accident, I discovered a source of genuine, natural gemstones at very reasonable prices and  ordered some mixed faceted gems for myself. I made a few pieces and when I saw how nicely they turned out and how reasonable the cost, the light bulb went off ! I found my avocation  AND  it fit all my conditions --clean ! no chemicals ! light weight ! easy packing and mailing ( bless the USPS- they pick up at my front door), BEAUTIFUL, and I didn't have to leave my 'safe environment'. My idea was to provide reasonably priced, real gems and gemstone jewelry in precious metals at prices that most of us can afford. I then began to study up on jewelry and gems and am continuing to learn every day. Little by little I'm adding equipment and supplies and loving every minute of it.  I'm no expert, and I'm learning as I go, but I'm honest and sincere and anxious to serve you. And I do recognise that there are many of you out there who know more than I, so. I'm open to your comments and suggestions.
