Walt & Vern's Auto Parts is a full service automotive recycling facility. We primarily dismantle salvaged domestic pickup trucks, vans, SUVs, and Jeeps. Recently we have branched out and are also parting foreign vehicles and cars. In addition to the used parts we remove from these damaged vehicles, we have a number of suppliers that provide us with surplus parts, new OEM parts, new aftermarket parts, and takeoff parts. Our parts are all numbered and tagged into a computerized inventory system, powered by Hollander. The Hollander system gets part information from the vehicle makers and converts it into an interchange so we know which vehicle models use the same parts as well as what years use the same item. In this manner, we can effectively and efficiently make sure our prices are far below what the dealership would charge for the same part and guarantee that our parts will work on your vehicle.
Policies Shipping We ship our parts worldwide using UPS, the United States Postal Service, Fedex, and a number of freight cargo companies and barge lines. Items under 70 pounds may be shipped either UPS or USPS at buyer's request. Air bags are all shipped Fedex and can not be shipped outside the country. International shipments are provided through USPS only. Items with total dimensions over 108 inches cannot be shipped UPS. To find this size, we measure the longest side of the package, plus the distance all the way around the package perpendicular to the length. Anything larger than that must be shipped via freight. Freight At the bottom of each freight listing there is a tool to calculate the cost using freightquote.com. In most cases, we can even ship the item cheaper than what is quoted from them as we have many brokers we can ship through. Residential addresses are much more expensive. Phone number is required. Alaska and Hawaii are serviced through air freight and many barge lines. Alaska rates are not too bad, but Hawaii gets very expensive on large items. Returns All returns require an RMA number and must be received back by us within 60 days of purchase. To obtain an RMA, please contact us with the item information and reason for return. We are very understanding, as a small-town family owned business should be, but we reserve the right to charge a 20% restocking fee if the situation warrants such a charge. Additionally, freight charges will only be refunded in certain circumstances, shipping refunds are not guaranteed. Communication We are open from 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday, Pacific Time. Our state does observe daylight savings time. Please do not expect emails to be responded to on weekends. If you require a faster response, you may call us at 888-404-1499. The same time restrictions apply to phone calls. Feedback We leave positive feedback after it has been left for us. Leaving us a positive feedback tells us that you have received the part, installed the part, and the part is working. Please use the feedback system's star-rating feature only if you feel we deserve 5 stars. Why? Ebay requires us to maintain a 4.8 star average in every category or else our listing fees go up by 5%. With thousands of listings on ebay, that adds up fast!
