HOW WE MEASURE

All garments are measured laying flat.  We provide measurements for bust/chest, top shoulder to shoulder seam, sleeves from shoulder seam to cuff, waist, hips, and length.  In order to be assured that an item will fit, you will need to know your own measurements. 

Sizes are nothing more than numbers and sizes are not the same between manufacturers or between vintage and modern sizes.  Therefore, it is best for you to measure one of your own garments and compare the measurements to those in the auction description. That is the only way you will truly know if an item will fit.  All sales are final and we do not refund for items that do not fit.  It is the customer's responsibility to read the description and use the provided measurements to make a judicious decision.

If a garment does not have shoulder seams, we cannot provide that measurement.  This is the only reason that a shoulder measurement would be omitted from our auction.  Please feel free to ask questions prior to bidding. We do our best to answer each inquiry.

REGARDING VINTAGE

Our store inventory represents a miriad of decades, so please refer to the eBay category at the top of each auction to determine the age of an item.  For example, an authentic Victorian dress will be listed under Women's Clothing - Vintage - Victorian and Older.  A Victorian STYLE dress will be listed under Women's Clothing - Vintage - Reproductions - Victorian & Older.  Likewise, if an item is either a Men's or a Women's item, that determination will also be noted in the eBay Category at the top of the auction page.

Unless an auction description states that an item is New, New with Tags, or New Old Stock, the item will otherwise be previously worn.

Educated Vintage Shoppers understand that vintage clothing is previously worn and comes with various vistages of time and age.  Vintage clothing may have flaws and imperfections such as missing buttons or snaps, tiny seam separations, fading, pin head holes, small spots or surface dirt.  We strive to give detailed and accurate descriptions of each item, including any flaws or damage that we might find.  If you are wanting new or perfection,  it is best you go to a shopping mall.  If you want great vintage clothing at great prices, you are in the right place.

Despite the disclaimers regarding Vintage clothing, the vast majority of our customers are delightfully pleased and have come to know and trust Glad Rags Vintage Clothing for exceptional quality and service.  We choose unique and beautiful items that we ourselves would be proud to wear.

Some vintage clothing may need to be dry cleaned or carefully hand-washed. Although we do launder or dry clean a high percentage of our items, it is always a good idea for the buyer to dry clean all vintage clothing purchases for their own piece of mind.  Consult with a reputatable dry cleaner prior to cleaning since some vintage clothing items will have buttons and assessories that are not compatible with modern cleaning solutions.

I would not advise anyone with intense allergies or phenomenal expectations of perfection to shop for vintage on eBay.

PHOTOGRAPHS

We strive to provide excellent photographs of each item.  The colors are generally accurate although our camera does not like reds and greens. When there is a color difference between the item and our photographs, we will mention that in our description.  Clothing that is black in color will be lightened in the auction photographs in order to show details.  Colors vary from monitor to monitor, and everyone seems to think that THEIR monitor shows the accurate color.  If you have questions about color, please email us but remember, we are not able to SEE your monitor.

MULTIPLE PURCHASES / COMBINED SHIPPING

We encourage multiple purchases so we can combine items for shipping.  Most items are an additional $2 to ship unless it's a jacket, coat, purse, boots or heavier type item.  If you win an auction and are still shopping, please communicate your intentions so we can work with you.

 INTERNATIONAL SALES

We are delighted to ship internationally.  We ship Global Priority Mail and accept Paypal.  A special thanks to the fine ladies of the U.K. whom we love working with!

ALL SALES ARE FINAL

All sales are final. We do not refund if you did not read the measurements and an item does not fit,  or if you did not ask about the color or sizing, if that should be an issue.  If we have grossly misrepresented an item, please email us and we will discuss it with you.  If an item was not insured and arrived damaged or did not arrive at all, it is out of our hands. Insurance is available on all packages upon request. 

If you wish to resell an item purchased from us, you are free to use our photographs.  Save the image to your computer by right clicking on our photograph.  We regularly delete photographs from our image library.

FEEDBACK

We are happy to post reciprocal feedback. Your feedback alerts us that your item has arrived safely and that you are pleased with your purchase. Once we have received your feedback, we then finalize the transaction by posting our feedback.

If there is a problem, let us know PRIOR to your leaving feedback.  If you contact us screaming or with a rude email, you will have pre-determined your own case.  We treat our customers the way we wish to be treated - with respect.  We expect the same in return.

Should you leave a neutral or a negative feedback without ever contacting us, You WILL receive a feedback comment  publicizing your willful disobedience and violation of ebay rules, not in retaliation, but because you have chosen not to honor and follow eBay rules of feedback.  People who think they are above the rules will not be rewarded.
