My name is Shay and I'm currently a 'SAHM' to my two young kiddos & wife to my dear hubby!!  We are a very proud military family!  To be perfectly honest, trying to get by on one income these days can be very interesting at times!  Don't we all just LOVE the ever rising costs of inflation these days?!  I don't even want to get started on the topic of our current FUEL prices....can you say OUCH....Ha-Ha!!  But alas, I would honestly not change a thing!!  As I feel extremely blessed in being able to stay home with my precious babies....especially since our youngest was diagnosed as having PDD/Aspergers...of which is on the Autism spectrum!!  We strive to live by the daily MANTRA of "that which does NOT kill us, only makes us STRONGER" for having gone through it!!  Don't get me wrong though some days are VERY tough on ALL of us as a family...especially us "learning" how to help our son overcome this very MYSTERIOUS but also very FASCINATING "puzzle" called Autism!! 

There are honestly some days that our ole' hearts really ACHE though....just wondering about the many different WHY'S & HOW'S of this happening to OUR child!!  But alas, we're SURVIVORS and we WILL be okay regardless of what each new day brings to our family!  We're very PROUD parents & we WILL do whatever is needed for both of our BEAUTIFUL & INTELLIGENT kiddo's!  They honestly mean the WORLD to us!  They absolutely deserve the VERY BEST that this ole' world has to give & we'll do WHATEVER we possibly can to make that happen for them....just as ANY other parents out there would do!  Here's an interesting, yet VERY worrisome fact:  Can you believe that approximately 1 out of every 150 children are now diagnosed as being 'touched' by some form of Autism?!  We can only continue to pray that the scientific community will continue their research & hopefully find the cause and/or a 'cure' for Autism as SOON as possible!   There has to be a way that we can prevent this from happening to OUR children and/or family members in the future!  Until then, please try to utilize the resources that are currently available to us!  Though some days will be MUCH tougher than others, please try your best to STAY STRONG!
