![]() Hi Everyone :-) Welcome to my page. In addition to being a community peep, I am a hair comb collector. My favorite periods are Edo Japan and French Art Nouveau, but all of them are great. Collecting is a hopeless obsession once you start. I actually think if you're not a collector, you live a happier life. But c'est la vie! I started doing my hair comb blog because I think most dealers consider combs to be the miscellaneous throwaway items of estate sales. They are not. They are serious works of decorative art, which were made by the greatest artists of all periods in all countries. A pussy willow comb, made by the hands of Rene Lalique himself, was listed at Sothebys for $330,000, which is more than a lot of Tiffany lamps. Also, the 4th-century-BC comb "Gold of the Nomads," which was found during excavations at Solokaha Barrow, sits in the Hermitage. It is one of the most famous Greek antiquities in the world. Combs have been great art since the beginning of time. That's really what I want to say with my blog. Online Community It's what I do, how I live, who I am. I am the Community Assistant for Safety and Education at the Sulake Corporation, and a director of HabboHut Radio. We've done a great content producers library, a radio play with kids on skype from all over the world. It's fun. Here is the link to my work. Enjoy! :-) Favorite Links My husband James My parrot Harry My Life Blog: Gardens and Friends |
