Current Return Policy We do not accept returns on used or electrical items, or replacement keys, sold through our Ebay Store, auction listings or any other online auction. We do not warranty used items. We can not predict the remaining useful life of any used item. We will never, under any circumstances {auction, swap meet, in-store sale}, accept a return on a used or electrical item. If you can not accept this, do not purchase anything from us. We will accept returns on new, uninstalled items sold thru ebay. We will offer you a merchandise credit in the amount of the original purchase price (less shipping) to be used towards a future purchase, if unwanted item is returned within 7 days.
Description Notes Many of our items are Salvage. Meaning that most items are used. If an item is new, we will say so. Please understand that something new that is in excellent condition is different than something used that is in excellent condition. A motorcycle side cover from a 1965 bike that is listed as "excellent used condition" means excellent condition for a 35 year old piece of plastic. It will not be brand new. We try to describe each item fully as it sits before us. If a rivet breaks and your emblem falls off of a 30 year old side cover 2 days after you bought it, we will not give you a refund. We are filling a need for original parts for restoration that may not be available in your area. If you desire a brand new, never installed part make sure the listing says that is what you are bidding on. If you have a question please ask. All orings & seals have a tendency to dry out during storage. Items like petcocks and brakes will leak when first installed if the orings and seals are not rehydrated before installation. To rehydrate please soak item in the liquid it will be in contact with during use for at least 24 hours prior to installation. For example: motor oil for clutch plates, gas for fuel valves and brake fluid for brakes. Also, aluminum housings can build up a "crust" around rubber parts. Be sure to clean this off before inserting the rehydrated parts. We do not test individual items before listing. We only sell items that were in good working order when the bike was dismantled. Occasionally, items meant to be replaced during regular maintenance {orings, gaskets, float needles, etc} do not survive storage. Many shops & online dealers sell rebuild kits for fuel petcocks, master cylinders, brake calipers and carbs. If you are not familiar with what you are bidding on, please do not bid. You may be better off at a local dealer or salvage yard. Factory or OEM Parts: We research each item via manufacturer reference materials {microfiche, technical bulletins, parts reference books, etc} to obtain application information for many of our OEM part listings. We do not have one of every machine here to check each part. We rely on bidders to be familiar enough with their bikes to recognize if a specific part is correct for their application. This is the reason we list the OEM part number. A service or repair quote from a dealer will list the part #, as well as retail prices, for comparison.
Some Item Info... Upon receipt of your item please check it for damage before disposing of the packaging materials. Any insurance claim made for damages may require the original packaging. As bikes {or whatever} are dismantled we try to tag each piece immediately. The most effective way we have found is to write on them with painter's pens or Sharpies. If your item has permanent marker or paint pen on it, it can be removed with most brands of carb clean without risk of damage to the metal. When tagging plastic items we write only where it will not show when properly installed. If you have a problem with your item, please communicate with us via the ebay message system. Your message will contain your ebay id, links to the item description and order details. This saves us the time normally spent looking for your info. That way we can respond to your concerns faster than if you send an email to our aol address.
Feedback Notes Please be aware that we feel feedback should be accurate and informative. Not fluff "AAAAA+++++++++++++++" or petty & spiteful jabs. For example: Payment within 0-9 days is Prompt or Fast; 18+ days is Slow Payment. If you send us a check we will delay your shipping while it clears. If you never send payment & ignore all attempts to contact you we will leave Neutral Feedback or none at all. We do not have a personal vendetta against the uneducated Ebay users who feel the need to insult or LIE in feedback. We would like them to grow up and join the rest of us in maintaining the Ebay spirit of community. We appreciate it when buyers can leave us 5 stars.
Unsold Auction Listings
Items that are listed for auction that do not sell are routinely re-listed or transferred into our store within 30 days of the close of the original listing.
International Shipping Notes We DO NOT ship to Turkey. US or other Customs officials may open your package. We have no control over this. We do not "adjust" or reduce the values of internationally shipped items. If you are unwilling to pay applicable duties or tariffs, do not buy our items. We charge a handling fee of approximately $5.00 on all items shipped outside of the US. "Sniper" Policy Emails offering to purchase an item, after the auction has closed, for a higher price than the high bid will be ignored. Emails asking us to end an auction early to sell the item outside of ebay will be ignored. If you agree to our Seller Policies and wish to purchase an item from us, bid on it.
Items for Pick-up If you purchase an item that cannot be shipped or that you choose to pick up for another reason, you must contact us to make arrangements within 5 days of the auction close. We will hold items for up to 90 days. If an item is not picked up within 90 days, we will resell the item. Any deposit made will be non-refundable after the 91st day. Special arrangements may be made in advance for storage of longer than 90 days provided the item and a storage fee have been paid in full. Storage fees are $35 per month or any part of a month. We do not hold insurance to cover items in storage. You are storing the item at your own risk. If you want the item insured against damage or loss you may have your insurance agent contact us for info and photos of the item.
