WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO AND WHO WE DO IT FOR
Hello, my name is J. R. (Junior Man Ferguson) and I am going to tell you all about me and my family. I live with my Mom Nancy, Dad Warren, that wild wire wiener pests Ginger-Rose AKA Stinky and Fergus R. Ferguson. My Mom and Dad were both married to someone else before they met each other so my Mom has human children and human grandchildren but my Dad, being a man of impeccable tastes was blessed with Dachshunds.
When they met my Dad had his beautiful and beloved black and tan longhair girl named Putzi whom he purchase in Germany, her son Duffy or baby boy as Dad referred to him and her daughter Hexe who was a little stinker but soon became Mom's pride and joy. When Putzi and Hexe went to the bridge Mom and Dad bought Una Marie as a pal for Duffy and the four of them lived very calm happy and serene lives until Dad bought a computer and Mom went on line and discovered Dachshund Rescue.
Mom and Dad were ever so lucky the first time they fostered as they got me J. R. #1. I am really my Dad's boy but it was Mom that couldn't resist my handsome face and unique personality so I came to live with them. Things went along fairly smoothly until they fostered that wild wire wiener Stinky, who wraps Dad around her little paw, so Dad adopted her too. Right about that time Mom discovered rescue Mom also discovered eBay and let me tells you the woman is addicted to it. Later on Mom put her two hobbies together -- eBay and Dachshund Rescue -- and started running auctions to help rescue under the ebay name weeniedogrescue.
Her auctions won't always be for the same group and sometimes they may not even be for Dachshunds but they will always be for an animal in need. Mom told me her auctions are her mitzvah or good deed for God. You see the Internet hasn't reached heaven as yet and since God cannot run auctions to help the furbabies Mom does it for him. She really wants to do a good job of it so that he will be pleased Dad and I help her out all we can.
A word to you folks who win Mom's auctions. We do our best to present our items as honestly as possible and if for any reason you are not happy with your purchase we will gladly take the item back and return all your money.
Another word to you folks who may win one of our auctions and for some reason you are unable to pay for the item. Won't you please just write and tell us that you have a problem and Mom will be glad to work with you and either hold the item until you can pay if it, if it is something you really want, or make some other arrangements with you. Yes, we are doing this to make money for rescue but since we are doing it for the BIG GUY upstairs it is more important to make and help a friend than it is to make a buck.
Thank you so much for taking the time to view Mom's about me page. If we are presently running auctions for a little rescue could you please take the time to say a little prayer for his or her healing and that he or she will soon find the greatest forever home a little furbaby ever had. Sincerely, Junior Man Ferguson #1 |
